Hi folks,
After an interminable wait, my cartomegas and atomegas finally got here.
As a rule, whenever I get atties or cartos in from any supplier, the first thing I do is test the ohms on a (Beckman HD130) volt/ohm meter. This way I also know if any are DOA (hasn't happened to me yet) or wonky. The cartomega weighs in at 2.5-2.6 ohms and the atomega comes in at the Joye standard 2.3 ohms. They both fit on the standard diameter 510 batteries. It looks a bit odd, (okay, really odd) but works. And, of course, they fit the Tornado. And by fit, I mean it is clear that these are made for this style and diameter of product. The metal atomega in platinum is a seamless match for the platinum battery. Emblazoned near the battery end, there is the full color devil head logo that we are familiar with. The plastic cartomega is all black and is missing the logo but still looks sharp. No mistake about where these came from.

I made a slight mistake when (after blowing out the primer) I tried the highPing mod that I use on all my atties. I then proceeded to measure 2ml of Key Lime Freeze into the empty cart. It almost filled it. I then gently slipped the halved filler in with tweezers, taking care to let the juice seep into the filler. I primed it with a few drops and after a few 'remove the primer vapes without inhaling' I inhaled my first vape. The vapor production was about what I expected from 2.3 ohms, just a tad bit more. The throat hit was what I expected from the juice. However, the flavor seemed just a bit more pronounced. It could be from the wide, low bridge on the atty. It might be from the 901-esque (on steroids) black mouthpiece. I vaped moderately for about an hour exclusively on this unit (I normally rotate units). No drying up, no topping off and no problems. Just consistent vapor. I then set it down for a while (coming back to my HighPing mistake) and found that as long as I was vaping there was no flooding but as soon as I stopped, the juice flow was too much for the atty and using the HighPing mod, it would flood (for me). So I replaced the other half of the filler and all was well, no flooding, just goodness. I suggest leaving the filler intact and using only about 1.8ml - 2ml of juice, still more than any other cartridge made. Sadly, it would appear that 2.5ml is just a bit too much for the atomega (with filler).
When assembled, the mouthpiece/atty was a bit longer than the exposed part of the battery/switch. Still, it looks like it was meant to be.
Note: You could drip but it's tail piping or using an empty carto.

I am now in the middle of testing the plastic shelled cartomega. They came pre-filled with one of the tasty TW tobacco flavors. I have yet to vape it empty, but just looking at it, it might hold more (2.5ml?) than the atomega. The vapor volume, on the same Tornado battery, seems (to me) to be a bit more, than the atomega, really great volume. The TH with this juice is a bit more, but good. The prefilled flavor comes through loud and clear.

Because I have other units that I use (see my signature), I knew that the metal atomega wasn't going to work without battery extensions, but I was hoping to be able to use the plastic cartomega on my non-Tornado units. It can be done. I carefully trimmed 7mm of of the plastic 'skirt' on the threaded end and now this cartomega (I got 5 to try out) works great on all except for the recessed connector of the 2AA box mod. With an extension or by trimming more of the skirt off, it will work.
The cartomega is about 3/4 the length of the battery/switch when assembled. Looks okay, just not as good as the atomega.

All in all, I am quite pleased (if not slightly intox-nic-ated) by these well made units. I will buy more. And I'll see if they last as long as some of the regular atties/cartomizers I now use. But for now, I think I could really put a 1000mah Tornado battery to good use!:vapor::toast:

I'm doing a 1 day follow up. Initially, the vapor production was good on both units. After using them for a while, they seem to improve! Both are now producing about 15%-25% more vapor than my standard 510 atties/cartos. They need a bit of break in time, especially the atomega. I still have not emptied either unit yet, but I think that I could of finished them both off in 1.5 days, if I had not been rotating in (as is my routine) several other units. Still, that is an excellent amount of time for two units to go without refilling.

I have a blunt tipped (18 gauge) 5ml syringe to refill the cartomega when it runs dry enough. It looks like I'll have to go through either the mouthpiece or the center air hole (there are two smaller holes on the sides) on the threaded side. For my other cartomizers I use the condom refill/wrist flick method or drip/refill with a drip tip. I also increased the amount of fluid available in some cartos by using a trimmed down 901 cartridge with about half of the filling left in it. Just enough to come into contact with the top of the filling in the cartomizer. It adds about 10 more drops to the total.

When I nail down a refill method for the cartomega, I'll post my results here.

When I nail down a refill method for the cartomega, I'll post my results here.

Pop out the first mouthpiece. Then pop out the baffle (the second piece). Using a dental tool helps quite a bit.

Then poke right down through the center of the fill port with your needle. Go in as "shallow" as you comfortably can.

Now slowly inject your liquid. I suggest holding the carto over an open bottle, because when you hit capacity raw liquid will come out of the battery end.

Alternately you can fill it from the battery end through the center hole, but you might need to use quite a few thermometer-flicks to get it full.

Thank you Scottbee for the picture and info! Just a bit ago, I found that same pic, at that website. I just don't know how to post pics yet.

I just re-filled 2 cartomegas! Poked through with a tiny pair of scissors. My blunt 18 gauge was tight, but it worked. I suggest putting the threaded end condom on, pressing down, while carefully refilling until you see juice rising up through the mouthpiece then reversing the overflow back up the syringe. Since it was not bone dry, (never good for atties or cartomizers) I only got in about 1.5ml.

can the mega Cartomizer be refilled without a syringe? If not where can i buy one?
Im looking forward to trying the new Cartomizer. I want to get the 1000mah ego batt too

Yes, they could be refilled without syringes. Even though they come in handy for DIY (http://shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=83) and I use one, it is a little creepy in a druggie sort of way. There are bottles or oilers with steel tips that will work. Something like this : https://www.rcplanet.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=RCE3000

i just filled the first one i got and what a pain in the ...... the center hole that needs to be pierced wouldnt pierce with my 18g blunt syringe so i had to use a needle and wiggle it back and forth to open the hole to get the syringe in. put 1.5ml in no problem, let it sit for a few minutes, tried to put another 1ml in and it just ran out the battery end. which brings me to pain in the ... problem 2. with the skirt its hard to get anything in there to wipe all the excess juice out. i also cant look down into the cartomizer and visually check if it needs to be topped off like i can with a regular cartomizer. i think a large capacity cartomizer was a great idea, i'll stick to the regular ones until someone develops a refill method that isnt such a pain. i do LOVE the flat tip tho, cant get that on a regular carto

My take on the Mega Carto's

I'm thoroughly enjoying my Mega Cartomizers a bunch, simple to fill with a regular syringe, just hold over the bottle so exes runs into the bottle. fill let sit, give a little shake for a bit then fill the rest of the way, got 2.5 into mine. I have noticed that after the break in fill they seem to get better once broken in. Very simple to tell when it's running low = taste it right away but not that burnt taste, as soon as you taste a drop off it's time to refill, second fill seems to last longer than the first as well. Great for my Girlfriend because I fill hers once in the morning and shes good for the day, I go through at least 2 of them maybe more. I also ran these @5V on a good PT as well as on my GG'S, Silver Bullet, Omega and some other 6V mods I have and they all performed flawlessly. You do have to take a utility knife and cut some of the plastic overhang off of the bottom to fit on other typ Mods.

Just an update: My 1000mAh Battery and MEGA Cartomizer arrived from TW.

WOW. The battery is about an inch longer than the regular eGo Battery! Too Cool. Waiting for the green light to go on.

The MEGA Cartomizer is wild also. I have never had a whistle tip on any e-Cig. I like it much better than a round tip right off the gate.

Not exactly sure how good the Marb. 18mg juice is that came with the MEGA Carto. I put 4 drops of TV Tastyfinger into the battery end to make sure I wasn't hitting on a dry carto. The mixed taste is Great.

One thing that I think people are going to want to consider for refilling is something like this,

78_148_large.jpg

https://www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/product/A019/accessories

I got some of these when I was a newbie think I would need them to refill a reg carto. Once I saw how easy it was to fill a reg carto, I never used them. Now they are going to come in handy.

Working with a sharp syringe is going to be hard in that the syringe will need to be held inline with the MEGA Carto. Your going to prink yourself sooner or later.

The JC one have a flexible tip and can be held at a more natural angle while filling.

So far I think the 1000mAH and a MEGA Carto looks like an All Day Vape. Very happy with what I have seen so far.

The only question now is how many refills will the MEGA Carto take before it has to be thrown out. If I can get about the same amount I will go with them for the Huge amount of juice they hold and there style points.
