Got my eGo 900-passthrough- and eGo cartomizers...need some help...

I received my eGo 900mah with passthrough charger
5 mega eGo atamizor cones with hard tip
5 eGo dual coil cartomizers with soft tip

No directions so I don't know if there's anything that needs to be done to the atomizers...the cartomizers are self explanatory and I've been refilling Blu cig carts, and I've already started puffing using one(not good juice tho). I am going to buy a cleaning kit, so I have that part covered. Anything for the atomizers?

Where can I get a charger for the other battery while using the passthrough. I've seen ego fast usb/usb chargers for the eGo in 420mah, is that what I should get?

How many volts come out of this thing?

How do I cover the cartomizers when I am not using it? The tip is open so won't they dry out really fast? I bought juice already which was working and tasting good, good TH with the refills on the Blu, but after more research figured that my purchase would be a bad match for the eGo I bought because the ratio of VG/PG 60/40 would have bad results...and I was right. Bought some small bottles from kickbassvapor.com and just went with the default percentages. I am thinking maybe the VG/PG 30/70 would be a better percentage as I want less of a throat hit.

I have spent countless hours researchig, and I know this is a trial and error type of deal being that everyone is different. But, I don't have a heck ova lot of cash and really want to quit smoking, need to quit. I don't want to give up...I'm sure the answers are here somewhere, but this is a huge forum and not having alot of luck searching.

Anything you can tell me about these questions or other info you think I may need, please be my guest.

Hi holley, with your attys you have to blow out the primer liquid that all attys are filled with. It taste terrible and you don't want to vape it Then you will want to reprime your Atty with your juice by dropping 3 or 4 drops of liquid on the metal bridge then your ready to go.

What is the other battery that you want to charge? Let me know and I'll see if i can help.

For keeping the cartomizers fresh, just put the condoms back on. The clear rubber covers that came on your new cartomizers.

Lowering the nic will help with TH also. I keep my juice mixed around 70/30 PG/VG but it's good to play with the percentages so you know what works best for you.

Hey thanks, yeah, I tasted the primer and blew them out immediately, however, one of them still tastes really bad.
The usb passthrough it seems does charge the batteries too, I didn't think it did. But the same battery attached to the foul tasting atty, light doesn't seem to turn on when charging, so I have no idea if it is or isn't. Keep touching it to see if it gets warm, but nothing yet. I think the charge thats in it now came with it. I'll have to call smoktech about that.

The cartomizers only have a rubber flat mouthpiece, not a cap. What's that about, how do I keep it from getting dried out? Am I supposed to buy them separately? The atty's came with five flat mouth piece cartridge thingy's, they do have caps.

Yeah, so I'm figuring out that I'll use the atty's to test, taste the ejuiuces, then when I want to commit, I will use the carts. Even though the atty has one flavor on it, I'm assuming eventually that taste will go away after using a different flavor and I'll blow the excess out before switching juices. Is that about right? So, the other battery, that does appear to be charging, and I was successful in blowing out the primer, the chocolate cake tastes pretty dog gone good. (i'm only 39, have never used "dog gone" before...haha.

So, it would appear, I may have a problem with one of the battery's...and a nasty tasting atty(like burning metal) Oh, and i did reprime with four drops...i'll keep learning as I go and I appreciate your help, some forum's I've found people get mad if the answer if somewhere within, that sometimes can make one want to give up because it can be so overwhelming. Glad it's not like that here. Thanks!!!

Generally cartomizers come with a silicone tube looking cap at both ends that you can use for capping for storage. The ones that came with your kit may not have them, but any future purchases of cartos will. Buying a drip tip will make your life easier and be more comfortable in the mouth than the flat rubber caps on cartos.

A drip tip can also be used for dripping directly on the atomizer if you don't want to use the carts or the cartos. You would just put about 3 drops of liquid directly on the atomizer and put on the drip tip. You would need to put 3 more drops on the atomizer every 3 or 4 puffs. Most people regard dripping as a pain and mostly use it to test new juices.

You don't need a cleaning kit for the attys. Yes get the ego fast usb charger for the eGo.
The batteries come w/ maybe about 1/2 charge. Yes, the flavor will change.
Cartomizers normally come w/ caps. If you need caps for the cartomizers, you might join PIF & ask (the women must have have tons of them) & PIF is a good way to try different juices.

How can I get this nasty taste out of one of the new attys?
I already ordered a couple drip tips for comfort and the cleaning kit for the cartomizers.
What is PIF? THE CARTOMIZERS didn't come with plastic covers, luckily I only filled one so far.
And was I correct in thinking the usher passthrough does charge?

Not these...eGo dual coil...
My main concern is the metal taste of one of the attys.
The attys need to stay moist as well, and so nothing gets in it, so how do u cover the atty when there isn't a cartridge on it? I need condoms I guess for the cartomizers, not sure what ya do for the attys.

The eGo is 3.3-3.4V. If you order some cartos I would get the Boge 2.0ohm cartos. They work well on the eGo and many vendors have them. They come with the rubber condoms. Be careful if you use anything below 2.0ohm. Personally I wouldn't use anything below 2.0ohm but that's up to you. 1.5ohm and 1.7ohm cartos put alot of stress on the eGo MOSFET and can fry your eGo.

That one atty might be DOA.....you could try a little vodka to try and clean it out other wise if when your done with it just blow it out and set it aside until your ready to use it again you can stick a blank cartridge (one without the filler) on it. If I was going to go several days before I used a atty again I would stick it in a "snack sized" ziplock. Hope this helps

the atomizer & cartridge setup...blow as much as U can and get all the primer fluid out..what left U have to vape till it disappear "the primer taste"..wont be long be4 U have yr e-liquid taste again..now to fill the cartridge best method is using a syringe/needle to refill the cartridge..but 1st punctured yr new cartridge by inserting into yr atomizer(if u removed the cap to refill,the airtight seal of the cap will leak liquid,so better not to remove from the beginning and yr cartridge will last a long time be4 need replacing)..take it out and look for the flap & removed it if U can by tweezer if cannot ,not to worry will work as well..then filled yr cartridge with the amount of e-liquid..leave a small air pocket,dont maxxed it out..now look at yr cartridge and atomizer..yr cartridge is not round or square but oblong..yr atomizer has a figure 8 plate..U must aligned the cartridge with the atomizer in this manner..if yr atomizer at 12 o'clock(like the plate 8 at 12 o'clock yr cartridge air track(well) must be 3 & 9 o'clock(if the air flow track is obstructed,poor vapor)..then insert the atomizer onto the cartridge with a "click"sound..if U done this right..yr cartridge/atomizer will not leak..hope this help U set yr cartridge/atomizer for optimum vapping..regards mafig ps after several hours vapping,the tip will gather moisture or droplet formed..U need to removed the tip end and inner cap to Q-tip swipe, free from moisture or droplet of e-liquid if not vapor reduce..happy vapping ..regards mafig oops i forgot to mention yr batteries at the base u unscrew the cap and yr charger cable attached to charge yr battery..yr passthrough can be charged either ends,singularly..but u need a USB charger input 0.5 A & plug ok
