got my first mod today

So i have never paid for a mod till this week and i got it in the mail today and my wife took it away and said i couldnt have it till christmas cuz its what she is giving me

Anyway its a scubagen v3 im way excited about it

So i have been screwing with it a little but it is kinda nasty just a bad burnt taste im going to mix up some pg juice tonight after xmas with the famsee if i can get it to wick better? But even dripping on the coil its real burny

Ok i have been trying to read the 300 and something pages of the scubgen thread but im still at a loss.....
What am i doing wrong? The burnt taste is killing me i tried 100% pg, cleaned the wick and coil with way hot water and at different voltages when i get off work i am going to roll a new wick and coil but any tips to make this thing work would be great.

Need more info... What voltages are you using? How many wraps?

Ignite the coil briefly before you even fill it up. Does the whole coil glow? If not, it's shorting somewhere and you may not have oxidized your mesh well.

working with SS mesh wick can take some practice, but the end result when you get it down pat is worth it

Sorry for not replying the forum wouldn't let me? and i haven't felt well for the past two days.
i will take a few pics and post them but for now i can tell you that yes i can make all the coils glow im not sure of the wire but it reads 3ohms it was built by a member pk something and i have tried 3.7-5.5 volts and it set off my smoke alarm lol
