I finally got my new Grand all set up today. Brand new battery/juice/atomizer in it.

I've been using my mini for a few weeks now and never had this issue, so maybe someone can explain exactly where the problem is.

When I hit the button on the Grand, it crackles and "sizzles" VERY loudly. I did a search and noticed that is actually a good thing. But honestly, its so loud its is scaring me. Just now I went to take a puff and it went POP!!!!!!!! in my face so loud that I jumped. It woke up my cat from on the other side of the living room.

Again, my mini has never ever done this. What can I do :(

I'm also getting very little vapor, but that may be my juice.

Could this be my atomizer? I need to clean out my other one before I switch.

There's a good chance that you've flooded your atty. Just some questions to figure out what's going on:

What is the % of PG/VG in your juice? Or is it 100% of either one?

What brand of battery are you using?

What brand atomizer are you using?

What's the threading on the atomizer? ex. 510, 306, etc.

How many drops did you use to prime it?

How did you squonk and for how long?

That'll give a good idea of the problem and others can better help you rectify the issue that your having with your atomizer.

Cisco's are indeed good atomizers but, they also take some getting used to. Try blowing it out a little bit and trying to hit it again. If it improves than you've flooded your atty. If it doesn't than you might have gotten a dud.

You should be getting more vaper due to the mix that you have chosen. So, it's not the juice that's the problem.

With a 510 I usually prime it with 6-7 drops and let it sit for 10 minutes. This will soak into the mesh and doesn't give you a dry scratchy hit. Also, it'll give you the maximum amount of flavor, TH, and taste. If it doesn't than drop a couple more in there to insure that everything's soaked.

That might be the issue since all your supposed to see is a little bit of juice glistening out of the holes. Then you take a dry hit.

You might want to try a blind squonk next time. All you do is lightly squeeze the bottle and take a light dry hit at the same time. When you hear a gurgle then immediately stop. Afterwards take a hit and if it's still a little dry then repeat. Once you get the hang of it. It'll be simple and you will know exactly how much should be fed into your atomizer.

510's in general are very forgiving and you don't have to feed it as fast as you do with a 306. You should squonk anywhere from 5-8 hits. You'll notice since the taste will start to diminish and develops a SLIGHT burnt flavor. This is your cue to squonk again since the next hit after that will be aweful and you'll get the infamous harsh, metallic tasting hit.

You'll know when you've flooded your atomizer since you'll get some flavor, but it'll be gurgly and won't produce as much vapor as it should. Also, remember to let your atomizer rest after 5 hits or so since it does get pretty hot.

Just wanted to update. It's working like a perfect dream now. Same atty, guess we just needed to break it in, like you said. :D

WONDERFUL VAPOR! So yummy!

The two of us finally aren't fighting over the Mini now, since we each have our own REO :D

Hi Violy - so glad to read that everything turned out well for you

Just wanted to share with you that I prefer a warmer vape and I usually press my firing button before I vape to warm up my juice... if you do fire before vaping, it is a good idea to fire away from your face and avoid hot juice sparks! Speaking from experience!

Happy vaping and squonk on! :D
