So this lunch i went to pick up some good old Halo juice to the states. Unfortunately i was told that i whether have an option to ship it back or leave it at the border entry (so they could all vape it and enjoy) same usual BS when i got inside... health canada... prescription... restricted and crap... no detail on why and since when. they only had an email ( i suppose internal memo) that they haven't give me to read. I had a feeling all the time that they had no clue whats going on... and what is it i'm trying to import. Same stuff with what are they trying to enforce and why.... Lol they weren't even aware that there is nicotine in it... I even heard that they are enforsing Health canada law.. ZOMG... only have enough juice to last through the weekend and some. I'm lucky that i still have my screwdriver and they din't take it away.... Kudos to US border patrol who were friendly and surprised that their Canadian neighbors trying to enforce non existing laws over FREAKING ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE....

What happened with the seizure? You went down to Blaine (to Hagen's? :D) to pick up juice, declared it at the border and Canadian Customs said "that's banned, you cannot bring it in?" Did they know you had your screwdriver on you?

That sucks man, if you get low there's a vendor in Vancouver selling nic juice, $10 for 10mg though. I can toss you some of mine to last you through if you think you'd like yellow cake batter flavoured juice.

That's crazy! You'd think it would be easy to hide! So what if I came over for a short while, would they confiscate my juice/equipment? Do they confiscate equipment?

Any visitors from another country are allowed to bring and or possess and even have it shipped to them here in Canada as your are in your own country according to something I read on a government website awhile back.

What a waste of good Halo!

I agree... i was so looking forward to vape it... damn.... well at least i send it back so somebody else will enjoy it. When i asked BO why is it being restricted and requires prescription they had nothing better to say that health canada said so. It was really frustrating. They tried to sell some BS about different components of the ecigs that are sold in canada and stuff... but when i asked about Nic they had no idea

meanwhile i'm waiting for JC to reopen

Pretty much. Probably all they new is that the package i'm importing is somehow related to the ecigs which ,according to health canada, are no go.... so no additional questions were asked about whether i have ecig or anything on me.... lol i even had 5ml bottle of juice in my manbag... :p

Well they are only concerned and only have the authority to scrutinize goods you're seeking to import into Canada, so the stuff you brought over and back wouldn't qualify technically. So I wonder what would happen if you went there on the way down and registered your vaping equipment with them, I expect they would have to comply and give you the paperwork :)

With ground crossing at the border, just place my PV items in the open cubby pocket along with my Ipod/cords/chargers, and juice in my pocket. Even if I was asked directly, which I havn't been, I would just play dumb. If picking up stateside and returning, its easier to unpackage on site and do the same as a I said above.

Keep it on your person if possible, play dumb if needed, and don't get that coy/suspicious look on your face. Best bet is to purchase some other non significant item and state you went there for lunch and to meet a friend, but also picked up "this" (non significant item)... and they'll usually wave you on.

Works for me...
