Got my kgo

Well as the subject says.... I got my kgo!!! Went out of town this weekend and got back tonite. Checked my mail and I was so excited to see my kgo came in. So I tear thru it to see what I have. Then start slapping things together. I got 5 boge or cartos and a 1.6ml vision ego clearomizer. The clearomizer was the easiest to start with so I filled it with some ry4 that I got with my kit. Let me just say wow! The first hit was so much stronger than my blu that I have been puffing on. And the flavor is pretty darn good! So I am puffing away and filling my cartos. Not sure if it was me or the carto but it wasnt good. I am filling the carto with caramel cappiccino from backwoods brew. It just had some kinda off taste. Almost I burnt taste if you will. So I fill another carto and it does taste so much better. The flavor is not as good as I was hoping for but not to bad. It taste like coffee. But no real caramel flavor, I have read that it would probably better to let it steep for a bit. It's already a week old so I am thinking maybe another week.

Now I want to try every flavor I can get my hands on. I have no idea where to start. Seems like there is a flavor for everything. Anyone have any good recommendations? I want some sweet flavors that are not to overpowering that I will get tired of too fast. Was thinking does anyone have a monster energy drink flavor? And what the heck is flu cured. Heard of some honey flu cured tobacco that sounds interesting. Anyways I am excited time to puff away and watch some tv.

My kit and ry4 came from elite vaporworks, great shipping and super quick.

cant wait to get my KGO in the mail...hopefully it comes tomorrow...or later today depending on your time zone. For the mean time I'm rocking a loaner KGO from a buddy at work. most of the guys at work are using various flavors in the signature collection from pinkspotvapors out of LV. I ordered some of those up and as a new vaping enthusiast these flavors are doing me well in the KGO with a 510 atomizer on it.

Congrats on getting your kit and I assume switching over from stinkies!!!

I personally found that I could not handle the filler type cartos like boges, but many people love them. Yes, some juices do require steeping, some for quite awhile.

vapedudes.com has a free code and they give away about 15 10ml bottles a day when you like their fb page. It's fbfree. Cost me a nickel to be able to check out just to process it. They will also give you 40% off your first juice order. So that's a good way to try some juices to see what you like.

vaporbomb.com has a wonderful monster juice! Now mind you I've never tasted the energy drink, but folks have said it tastes just like it. I was sent a 5 ml sample as a freebie with my order, and wow it is sooooo good! I will definitely be getting more of it.

Darkcityvapor is the cheapest and best KGO you're going to get but honestly I can no longer recommend them for beginners. My new recommendation is to get your hands on an EGO Twist battery (1000mah) or two and a charger and then throw a Vision Vivi Nova on there for your tank. You're on your own with juice but many people seem to think Boba's Bounty is the best - even though from what I understand it only comes in 100% VG. My only recommendation to you is that finding a tobacco flavor that's good is like trying to find the Holy Grail - a quest best not undertaken (for your wallet and sanity's sake). Stick to fruits and sweet things because they generally satisfy. The idea was to get away from tobacco anyway, was it not? DIY'ing your own juice will cost you around 30 cents for 5ml bottles. There is no cheaper way to vape.

As for cartos, make sure you are filling them with the condom method and give them time to wick. If you insta-vape after you fill them you may get a burned taste. That aside, there is a serious lack of quality control in the vaping world because most of the stuff comes from China. Boge 2.0ohm LR single coil cartomizers work well on a KGO, and they can be cleaned and re-used for months and months. The Smoktech 1.7ohm single coil cartomizer is commonly considered the best cartomizer for vapor production and flavor but I can't tell you how long they last. I am a tank man, and when I'm not I still got my Boges going strong for over 3 months now.

If you want more info on my experiences as a vaper please refer to my blog (click on my name and then click on the Blog Entries link under my avatar) and check out my quit diary. It's full of really good information for beginners and may save you some pain of learning by trial and error (i.e. the hard and expensive way).

That wouldn’t be my general recommendation to newbees. The 1000mah Twist is really long and even with a carto is too big to comfortably tote around for many let alone with a large tank on top. There’s no way I could stick that system in my pants pocket. It’s a great combination for at-home vaping though and a solid system. The 650mah Twist with a standard boge is the longest device that I can comfortably tote around, and that’s what I use often, but only when I’m out for a short time as 650mah won’t last me all day.

Boba’s has a cult following around here. I tried it last week for the first time and was very disappointed. It’s obviously a high quality juice, has tons of vapor, but I found the flavor to be just ok. I’m glad I only ordered a sample size as I won’t re-order it when it’s done.

Folks, the OP already has his Kgo. Isn't asking for what type of device to get. And to the OP since you've already filled some cartos, unless you used the condom method, I'm sure you realize, you don't need to. Nothing wrong in it if you like that, but I decided to give it a shot at one point, although I saw no need for it, and it just so happens that particular condom had a hole in it. So I lost a couple mls of juice before I could get my finger over it and find something else to put it in. Not a huge deal but annoying. The filler material is very absorbent. If you drop 20-30 drops into a fresh carto, turn it sometimes if you want, that carto will be full.

ECBlends and juicyvapor.com are also good places to check for juice. You'll spend more per ml initially for it, but you can try 3 ml bottles. This is plenty to find out if you like a juice or not, and you can experiment with pg/vg levels and nic strengths to see what you really like. Also Juicyvapors has an all the time 10% discount if you've been in the military, just email a copy of your dd 214. I haven't tried it yet, but many people really love their ectoplasma juice. They say it really grows on them once it steeps a few days and has become an ADV (all day vape) for a lot of folks.
