Different beast if it is like the original F16. It is a carto tank not a clearo.

I realize that it's two different setups, but what makes it better than a clearo, if it is. I've got a Smok carto tank on one PV, and a Davide on another right now, and I like both. In the carto, I'm vaping The Keys by GLV, and it's a better flavor profile than when I vaped it in my Davide. But, I get a bigger cloud out of the Davide on the same juice.

Comes with a refilling drip tip
The seal seems pretty nice as it keeps the carto really wet even after half a tank

Dislikes:

Not a fan of the design, but some might consider the design a plus
Do not like the "locking mechanism" which makes the bottom of the tank a little lower than the bottom of the flange on the carto. This just exacerbates the problem of not being able to make contact if the center pin on your mod is too low. On the Smok Pyrex UDCT v2, the bottom of the tank is flush with the bottom of the carto flange.

I can't speak to the Davide as I have not used that one. I get a truer flavor with a carto tank than I have with protanks, evods or CE'5s. It is about dead up even with the Aspire for flavor. The big win for me with a carto tank is the capacity. 5 mL is REALLY nice.

That said 99% of the time anymore I drip or squonk these days. THe flavor is just THAT much better.

Can you use Boge F16 flanged cartos on the Smok UDCT v2? The cartos are the part that does the heavy lifting, where the tank is just the fluid reservoir, right?

I use the boge F16 cartos in the SMOK Pyrex tank all the time and looking at the UDCT v2 I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for! Like I said, on my smok carto tank, I do get a better profile, but it's the first one I've ever used, so I've been looking at reviews to see if it's worth making the switch. I do like the larger tanks, kind of like a Ronco, just set it and forget it.

I know that every tank has it's own quirks, but with the protank, evod, and Davide all using the same atty, I'd imagine that performance is similar on the three.

I've been using pt2's and I prefer this carto tank hands down. I'm still getting decent vapor production and the flavor is 10 times better. I also drip and use an aga-td and rsst. So flavor is a high priority for me, and the carto tank definitely fits the bill.

I got a bunch of cartos that were labeled specifically for the F16 v2, and those do not work on the UDCT v2. The "swirl" flange is too big to fit into the groove on the UDCT v2. Smok cartos fit into the F16 v2 fine, though.

I'm unsure if the F16 cartos you're referring to are the same as the ones I got.

Boge F16 Cartomizer Mix'n'Match (5box)

Here are the ones I got while picking up something else on this site:

Boge F16v2 Tank Replacement Cartomizer 1.6-2.0 (5pk) - $6.50 : VapeLite your source for Boge quality electronic cigarettes, Boge electronic cigarettes

I'll post some pics when I get home, but these specific cartos don't work in UDCT v2's. I believe your's are the older ones listed as just F16 cartos on the vapelite site that will work on the UDCT v2's.

I'll post some comparison pics when I get home later.

Ok, here are some pics to describe what I was talking about.

photo(2).jpg

You can see the F16 v2(silver) is much larger than the UDCT v2(black)

photo(1).jpg

The F16 vs has their weird locking mechanism while the UDCT v2 no longer has a locking mechanism. It just has a groove for the flange.

photo 4.jpg

As I described earlier, the locking mechanism means the bottom of the tank extends past the flange on the F16 v2.

photo 2(1).jpg

The Boge F16 v2 carto is on the left. Standard Smok DCT carto on the right. Notice the different shape of the flange on the Boge.

photo 1(1).jpg

And here you see that the new F16 v2 cartos don't fit into standard DCT grooves. The weird shape is too big. The DCT cartos fit into the F16 v2 just fine, though.

I think they changed the F16 v2 cartos because of their new locking system(which I haven't really figured out how to make lock). But older F16 cartos with a different flange should work fine in DCTs.
