Got my Prometheus today. Question about quality.

My Prometheus arrived and I was very excited to try it out. When I started taking it apart I noticed the air holes and the air flow controller were not cleaned out well. The back end of all the holes have metal flashing attached. It can't just be picked out. I am gonna have to file/sand them. The air flow controller will not spin because of this. There were also a few other areas like the positive pin insulator was not cleaned up well. I have a few other high end devices. kayfun lite, kayfun lite plus, AC-9, AL-1, and some machined tanks and other parts from Tatroe mods. All of these devices came to me in great quality condition. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any issues with grand vapor devices. I expect this type of problem with Chinese devices but not from high end manufactures.

Sorry, I can't help. But I can and will say any machinist worth anything will always deburr his/her parts before moving on. It is manufacturing rule number one. Maybe it's different there but for that much money I would think attention to details would be important. Maybe it was an accident and slipped through. Possibly contact them and see what they can do to resolve it.

Yours is not the first post I've read with the same issue. I got my prometheus in perfect condition no burrs anywhere and it's definitely a fog machine of an atty. I love mine

Shoot them an email - they will want to know about this right away. Id send it back and have them ship another and take care of your shipping charges back to them.

I'd never keep it in that condition.

several reports of this, it seems they were rushed out of the shop before a good cleaning.

Yep, same thing here, although it doesn't really bother me other than when I'm drying out the inside with a paper towel. I've taken and sanded down several grand vapor products. In fact with the Prometheus you could possibly slice through the o-ring on the top cap if you're not careful.
