I tried one of those free trial offers before coming to this forum last week, but sent it back after reading the fine print.

My Joye 510 came yesterday and I charged up the batts immediately. I put in the high nic mlb flavor that the kit came with and tried it out. Much much better than the auto batteries that came with the 51. Nice, full mouth fulls of vapor with nice consistent hits. I only had to smoke one analog last night.

I guess I'm going to have to get used to carrying extra stuff to work. My first charged battery just went out, and the first cart ran out before that. My dilemma is I didn't bring my charger and I only brought one additional cart. I imagine I'll be out a little after lunch time. It seems to be working great so far today, because I've only had one analog today :toast:

Attaboy, or girl, whichever the case may be. I'm guessing boy. Sounds like you're cutting back on the death sticks nicely. It does take a bit of adjustment and planning to vape instead of smoke. You gotta carry more crap around with you for sure. You'll probably find that you need more than two regular batteries charged up to get through the day. You also won't be real happy the first time your only atty dies at work. May want to plan for that little scenario.
Anyway, welcome and congrats and good luck!

Congrats on the one cigarette; especially if you've been smoking for a while, it's a momentous occasion when you can do that. If you work near a computer, a passthrough is a great thing so that you don't wear down your batteries...just plug it into a USB port. Also, there is a gadget called a PCC which will charge your batteries. And, of course, there are car chargers that you can plug into the cig lighter. I've started to think of my juice in the same way I did a lighter, and just automatically grab the bottle to take with me. Again, congratulations on how far you've gotten and good luck.

Well, the instructions state the batteries will last about 200-250 puffs. pssh...maybe 1/2 second puffs. I think I may have gotten close to 75 total from the first charge. I think i'll definitely need 2 chargers. One for home and the other at work, and I did get an additional atty for a backup, but I'll probably need an extra for work and home. The instructions also state that I should get close to 200 charges from one battery before it starts to go down hill. What is your experience with the 510 batteries and approximate total battery cycles?

I didn't get my extra empty cart to try out my new flavors either, but the supplier is dropping them in the mail today. I guess I'll be able to drip my tobacco flavor in one of the used carts as they dry up.

Yeah, those claims that say that the batteries last a whole pack of cigarettes are bogus. You're not going to get that kind of performance from anything but a big battery mod. There are no standard batteries that last that long.

I have a Kr8, which has the longest-lasting battery in that size range (same size range as the 510), and even that only goes for about 4 hours before the performance starts to go downhill. It takes 5 or 6 hours to die, but I usually plug it in after 4.

I do NOT smoke a pack of cigarettes in 4 hours. :p

So don't worry about that. There's nothing wrong with your batteries. Some of these companies just make really unrealistic claims.

An extra charge of some kind is probably a good idea. But a PCC is more versatile than a regular charger.
