Hello all

Thanks to the advice of the kind people on here I got my Riva 1100 kit at 11am today...

10:30am marks the my last cigarette today.

So far so good... No major withdraw and to be honest I am not quite sure what my body is craving... but when i feel like having a smoke, or visualize a rollup, I just grab the riva.

Think I might of killed a couple of the cartomizers... filled them up then a taste of burnt something and no vapor. but its working for me and keeping me off the smokes.

So ordered a backup kit and some more cartomizers and a charger for the car... My fear now is running out of something :)

I think I now have a months worth of eliquid...got a bit carried away with the choices :)

I have been feeling slightly light headed all day, but I am not sure if thats coming off the cigarettes or the vapor? I vaguely remember feeling weird for a few days when I last tried to quit (nicotine gum)... but I don't feel AAAAHHHH:mad: with the riva and nobody is feeling like they have to tip-toe around me.. All in all feeling quite chilled..

Fantastic service from vape escape for unbelievable delivery and the free drip tip.

So a big thank you to all..because

Tomorrow is going to be a smoke free day.

Still trying to figure out the best way to inhale the vapor. Seem to have to take two to three long drags into my mouth and then into my lungs and hold it there, to get the effect I need... I am using eliquids between 20-30 nicotine. Which is doing the trick... on 20 I am using it a lot more.

Using apple and pear eliquid at the moment which my girl friend is saying, is making her hungry

I don't seem to get clouds of vapor though. (as I have seen on youtube).

Dude, that is alot of vapor you are taking in....and if you are holding it in your lungs that is why you are not getting much vapor. You mentioned feeling light headed, you might want to be careful that you are not nicing out, in other words overdosing on the nic. 30mg is pretty high. Are you able to get nice clouds of vapor if you just take a nice draw and do not hold it in your lungs? How are you filling your cartomizers, and which kind of cartomizers are you using?

Hi therealcmac

I am using the standard boge (3) http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/boge-510-standard-resistance-(5)~145
I do get vapor.. it just feels week... I used some 30 earlier and I could tell the difference (I did not feel I needed to puff on the riva every 10 mins)
I am using 20mg at the moment. But I am doing it for a few puffs, every 10-15 mins.. I have re filled the boge 3-4 times today.

Is this to much...

I am used to smoking hand rolled tobacco between 20-30 per day for 20+ years (a hard habit to break)

Hi therealcmac

No you should be good, i vape ALL DAY haha, I put it down for a few minutes then puff away for a while. You just want to look out for sweating, faster heart rate and light headedness, these are usually signs of having a bit too much, but it sounds like you are ok, just make sure you are drinking LOTS of water.

As for your cartomizers, you are using the Standard Resistance cartos rated at 2.8-3.2 ohms, these are for higher voltages than you can get with the Riva. What you want to do is get some LR or Low Resistance cartomizers, these will give you a warmer vape and bigger vapor Boge 510 Low Resistance (5) £5.79 - Vaping Spares - Cartomisers Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid You will be much happier with these :)

So pleased to hear you are happy with your Riva kit Guest

Make sure you fill your cartomisers well to begin with & keep them well topped up.

As for the light headed felling, it may be due to dehydration, so make sure you up your intake of liquids

Thank you...

Your advise helped :)

Now I am starting to think this saving money thing is not quite true...

I have spent about £150 so far and looking through some of the threads it seems I will be destined to buy something bigger (with lights on) in a few months....

Its true I will be spending less on tobacco :)

Sounds like you are really liking you Riva. If you are still feeling light headed, then maybe go to a lower nic. My wife felt the same way on 18 nic juice, and now she uses 12 nic, and she feels great. She vapes all day, like I do, and we feel fine. We both are pretty new to vaping, only like 6 weeks, but we love it. If you have any ?'s, and you don't find the answers on here. Then check out some videos on YouTube. I like to watch GrimmGreen and others that have showed me alot about vaping, and they haven't led me wrong yet. Hope this helps! Take care!!

Haha, ya we all say that. Just wait until you get hooked on Mods! Once you find a setup you like and some good juice you CAN just stop buying things BUT you probably won't as this quickly turns into a hobbly :p
