Finally, thanks to USPS and their shipping system, received my under $40 chrome Vamo yesterday. The chrome finish is OK and I do not find it to be at all "slippery" to use.
It's way too bulky for me using the 18650 battery and the weight, for my preference, is uncomfortable even with a single 18350 battery. Using a single 18350 battery and the resulting reduced overall length makes it uncomfortable for me to use.
For me, the fire button being located above the adjustment buttons would make it more comfortable to use.
The above are simply my personal preferences/issues and do not take away from the units quality/abilities.
Overall quality appears to be top notch. Functionality and performance are as good as advertised and claimed by users.
Is it worth $40, without any doubts. Would I purchase another, no.

yeah, vamo may be nice piece of hardware, but its more dense than the batteries in it.. so heavy.

350/650 config is like 130/170grams.

if you can live without the wattage function theres plenty of lighter stash around. then theres even more of the heavier pro-gear bat-crazy pricey steel containers looking outta a nuclear facility with super kewl names to go..

vamo is good, but i hate the weight too! would i get another ? well i saw it for 27usd on vaporbreak. I would not.

The VW doesn't excite me at all. I would be much happier if it accepted a 18500 battery in lieu of the low mah 18350 and that would also make it a little longer and more comfortable.
I'll probably just sell the Vamo and keep looking. The technology is there and someone will come up with something that will make my overly critical and selective .... happy.

It would be more comfortable for me because it would be at a more natural position when holding the Vamo and using my thumb to fire. Attempting to use my forefinger is as awkward/uncomfortable. Without the extension, it's even more uncomfortable and awkward.
I'm also not fond of the added size with the extension but even less fond of the shorter battery life of the 18350 batteries.
All standard Ego type batteries fire button placement is logical, like it was given some thought, and are comfortable to use.
My bolt is just like a Ego type only larger in diameter.
As I have stipulated. These are my issues with the device and perhaps only pertinent to my hands and/or preferences.
All in all, the Vamo is not for me.
