I dont know about the 50/50 split stuff... i started with pure VG and thats all ive used so far(about a month now) The Ego-T was my first kit and its been working fine. About a week ago i tried to clean one... havent noticed any difference, no improvement or reduction in performance. i bought a Joye 510 kit a week after the ego and have tried dripping, for me the flavors and vapor are the same with dripping the 510 and using the Ego-T

thank you everyone. Im going to run to a local shop fast and grab some juice that Im sure has been steeping for months to count that out. Ive already tried soaking, cleaning etc...but maybe right its the VG. I asked before I did this and found several people on the board using pure VG that were happy so....

I'll report back after I get some known good juice in a pg/vg mix to rule that out.

Where are you getting your pure VG juices??

I ran out and got some blended up 555, RY4, and graham cracker, a few 510 cartos, and another empty tank.. Seems it wicks MUCH better but I can still taste burnt sugar....even in the carto. Maybe its just stuck in my nose....maybe I need to clean atty more thoroughly. I really planned on and wanted to stick with VG, so curious where you are getting yours from that is working well for you?

Have you never had the burnt taste using your new kit and pure VG???

I got the Ego-T on Friday and all I can say is WOW!! this thing rocks. I never got any of the bad taste people talk about because I knew about the primer issue before I got it (Big thanks to cozzcon). It's been awesome from day one and gets better every day. I followed his cleaning method as follows...

1. soak atty in 90% isopropyl for 10 minutes - if you ordered black soak for 5 minutes unless you want your atty to be converted to stainless :)

2. dip and drip till alcohol flows freely in both directions

3. lightly tap out isopropyl on a towel or something else soft (to limit the mess)

4. dry out in airflow (I use an 80mm pc fan with a screen on top). This should not take all that long, but for safety's sake leave it to dry at least 12 hours (I wait 24).

5. enjoy your new Ego-T

If you want to see the instruction video yourself, it's on youtube. Here's the link if you don't feel like searching.

YouTube - eGo-T Atomizer Cleaning Demo....

Hope this helps :)

only bad taste i ever experienced with the Ego-T was the first use, but was the tanks prefilled with a usa (marlboro) mix from cignot, i attributed it to a distaste for the "tobacco" flavors and have really enjoyed all hte other flavors ive tried (cherry, pina colada, hazelnut, peach, blueberry) my favorite e-juice so far i get from Made In The USA E-Liquid Smoke Juice - E-Liquid - Smoke Juice you can select a mix or pure VG as well as nic levels in the drop downs and its 30ml for 10 bucks.

Just wanted to check back in and say it was definitely the juice. I can not wick the pure VG, period. I have no idea how you other guys are getting away with this. I diluted with 50/50 PG/Distilled water and the thing works like a champ. If I let the tank get a little low and add a bit more pure VG it starts to act up again.

Im disappointed, but I'll work around it with distilled water, as I don't really want to deal with PG.

On a side note....How long do FSUSA juices normally take to steep into their best state? I'd like the perfume-y thing going on to settle down a lot more before I can dive into that. I like this juice except for that. Will it ever go away or is this a signature of their juices?

If you want more flavor from your Ego Tank, try this.

Pull out the end piece on the mouthpiece (use a bent paperclip or similar). Then pull out the second piece you find lower down with a small hole in it.

The draw is easier and the flavor is improved no end.

Im gonna have to try this sounds like a good idea. I feel that sometimes I do have to take a big draw.

I have had absolutely no problems with 100 VG from three different suppliers (Juicy Vapor,Velvet Vapor,Gourmet Vapor) and thru four attys. I did have to push the wick down a bit on a couple of them but that's it.

Okay...
Just for clarity, Ricochet, other than you adjusting your wick (I pushed mine down ever so slightly as well) you just have ZERO burnt atty flavor? Do you hold your Ego T verticle so its always wicking down? Do you dry inhale to prime at all? Do you prime under wick from battery side at all, or you just load tank and go?

I have some 100 VG already in the mail (before I realized this was going to be an issue) from MadVapes and Gourmet Vapor. I'll give Juicy and Velvet a go as well. I definitely had issues with everything I got, but diluting it with distilled water has helped tremendously.

Gourmet offers extra flavoring which they suggest when you select VG base. Do you add the extra flavoring? I have definitely realized I like the flavor of my juice to be subtle, but also know that the two bottles I have coming are extra flavor, which I suppose will also turn out just fine with the diluting, still curious if others that use VG often select extra flavor??

While I was sad that this isn't working for me, on the upside all these bottles will go a lot further with me diluting them. I've noticed no problem at all with the reduction of the nicotine, so I'm still a relatively happy camper.

Thanks for the tip. Do you think this would also help VG wicking? I'd try it right now instead of asking but I got this killer oRYental with a splash of cookie from FSUSA going on that is stuck to my mouth like super glue.

'Tackle box' made me lol. I definitely need one of those! My ever so valuable counter top space is officially strewn with crud.

Taking the inner buffer out definitely increases the flavor, but you'll go through your e-juice much faster. TONS more vapor and flavor and if you're using a higher nic juice you will definitely get a head rush from it, but that's enjoyable to some ;-)

I tried a few puffs with both buffers out...

Giant clouds and big-time nic rush. Not gonna do that again, lol, I like being able to walk a straight line when sober.

Bigtimeweb: I have had burnt atty taste on a couple that I fixed by pushing the wick down a bit. No more than a mm below the lowest lip in the peircing tube. I only dry pull when its new. I have never primed from battery side or any side for that matter. I hold in a normal manner mostly downward than upward.

I have enjoyed gourmet the best. I vape mostly vanilla and I did get double flavor from them. Velvet I found to be too strong in flavor. Juicy I found to be lacking flavor as far as vanilla goes.
I do have a small bottle of triple flavor vanilla coming from gourmet to try but am happy with the double flavor.

I hope I got everything, I am replying from my phone

i think if the wick is too high you get better results from thinner juice cause it is more likely to drip from the wick to the atomizer, but if the wick is in the right position, the atomizer will "pull" the juice from the atty.

Here's another tip... when the draw gets tight or even when your just switching tanks, instead of blowing it out, grab your blank tank, (the "dummy" tip that comes with the atomizer) and use it to vape the atomizer clean, i guess i would compare it to dripping, even when the tank goes empty there is quite a bit of juice still in there, i would say at least a analog or two's worth. if you did not get a "dummy" tip, you can also just pull the fill cap off a regular tank (empty of course) and pop it in.

Yeah those attys come with some really nasty fluid in them.

Everyone’s method is different, doesn’t mean mine is any better than anyone else’s.

I blow them out, and I mean a lot, keep using a clean paper towel until you are no longer getting them wet blowing, then roll up fresh paper towel and clean out the inside of the atty cylinder.

Then I use pure PG ( very cheap ) and puff it ( without inhaling ) for a good half a tank... then use a tank with real juice in it,, a few more puffs and you should be in good shape.

I also find that the juice I use tastes better after a week of steeping, different liquids will be different, but there is no question that what I use is better after being a week old. That doesn’t keep me from vaping it of course ( chuckle ) but there is no question… it is better after a week.

( I should add, the guy that said to push the wick down 1/16th of an inch if you are getting a burnt taste is also correct, had the same thing, did the same thing... now tastes great )
