So after many questions yesterday and your suggestions, i grabbed the iStick with an Aspire Nautilus tank. Which air hole am i supposed to use? i know it depends, but like is the smaller hole supposed to be harsher with more throat hit and more vapor, and the bigger hole is less harsh and less vapor? is that correct?

also, this tank was like 35 bucks :( my old ones were 8, but i cant use them anymore with this. dumb question, but Do i just wait till the juice in it is done and change the liquid flavor? or does anyone have any pro tips to change the juice before its done? lol
I don't wanna grab a couple more tanks at this price. AND also, can i mix juices? like put half vanilla, half mint? if i like those flavors, or is that bad for the tank?

thanks for your suggestions btw :D loving the iStick with this tank so far

1. More air = more vapor.
2. Change the eliquid whenever you want. A syringe needle works well for this.
3. Mixing juice is done all the time. You may want to try a smaller amount (not a whole 6ml tank) if you have never mixed the two flavors before.

oh ok i was wrong then :D the bigger air hole will give me more vapour and also make it less harsh ? sweet. thanks

Like pokemom said, if you got your iStick with the 510 to ego adapter, you should still be able to put your others on with that. You can get an adapter if you didn't get one with the iStick for pretty cheap (less than 5$).

Explore the airflow, nobody can really tell you what's going to be right for you. It won't hurt to vape a little on each size of airflow and find the one that suits you best.

The Nautilus will be fine when you're mixing juices, I think.

Standard advice is to not let the tank get less than 1/3 empty - top it off when it gets low. There is a chance you could get a dry hit or flooding if you vape it all the way down, although your results may vary.

The specs say that it comes with the ego adapter. Maybe in the box? Would have the male 510 threads to go into the istick and the ego threads on the other. As for the Nautilus, my experience is even if you chance your juice the previous flavor remains. Which is fine if the flavors are similar or you change your coil as well. Mine seems to start gurgling with temperature changes such as taking out in the cold for awhile then bringing it inside where its warm. Or leaving it in the car on a hot day.

OK one more thing guys, i dont wanna make another thread. I've been vaping on this for a couple of hours now, and its kinda harsh. I mean im using it on 7 watts only, and its alright ( still not as easy on the throat as my old cheap tank ) , but when i go to even like 10 watts, its really harsh and burnt. is it cause of the tank? cause the iStick is just the battery ,and im using the same juice as i did before. So is it the atomizer of the tank making it taste weird and harsh? I dont think 10 watts is even that high to be harsh already.

Anyone else notice this with the Nautilus tank?

I'm using the mini nautilus with an 1.8 ohms coil, and must set my eleaf istick to the lowest power setting. 3 volts (4.7 watts). It's a hot running machine. And also use the middle size airholes with my current juice, which is pretty thin (65 pg/ 35 vg).

I think you've got the power set too high. Probably burning the juice. Try lowering the power, and use one of the middle airholes. See if that helps. Too much power, and too much air = harshness!

best regards, larry mac

that did actually help, i made the hole one smaller, since it was on the largest, and went to the lowest wattage. one more problem im having, is getting juice in my mouth and theres a gurgling sound. i didnt even fill it up all the way, so it cant be flooding right? Any tips how to fix that? :D thanks

most likely that is condensations, keep sucking on the tank for just a bit after you let go of the fire button, that normally cuts down on gurgle in factory tank/coil setups.

if it doesnt, come back to us :D

haha im just impatient, it went away :) very good so far! finally. now its perfect lol hope the burnt taste doesnt return -_-

and this must be the best forum ive signed up for. fastest replies and best help :D thanks guys! in all other forums for cars, phones, whatever, they take ages to get 1 reply and its pointless haha

I don't wanna grab a couple more tanks at this price.

If you find that you like the performance of the BVC coil, but don't want to pony up $30 +/- per tank, Aspire also makes 6 or 8 other cheaper tanks that use the BVC's.

You can find the K1 for about $10- $12 and I've seen the CE-5 BVC for as little as $5... with several other tanks in between, in the $7 to $9 range.

I want to add my thought to the air flow/vapor production/taste train of thought. You read that the more air the more vapor - this is true if you take direct lung hits. However, if you are a mouth-to-lung hitter, you need a tighter draw and the way to achieve that is with less air flow. But, when you do this you have to fight against the urge to pull harder due to more resistance. When you pull too hard you create a vacuum which can pull liquid past your coil and into the outlet where vapor goes. You get leakage, gurgling, etc. As far as the Nautilus Mini is concerned, the adjustable air flow is nice (in my opinion) and I do adjust it depending on the juice I'm using. The lighter, less harsh juices get more air. The stronger ones with higher nic I tend to tighten the draw. Just play with it and try not to draw so hard as to create a major vacuum and I think you'll find the Nautilus to be an awesome tank. BVC baby!
