A quick easy mod for a stock mega 510 titan battery. If you got a drill you can make this one. (except for the tank)

Sorry,,, The tanks are not for sale. And to build one you need to be able to cut an inside "O" ring groove. AND they WON'T work on just any atty. ONLY the C-E2s.

Real slick I would want at least a drill press to get teh battery tube drilled, that is a bit too long for my aim with just a drill, lol.

Gummy, what are you using as a cutting tool (for lathe work) for the brass?

My drill press, I chuck the work and clamp a fostner wood bit in the press' vise. Then just do it manually with the outer edge of the fostner bit. "O" ring grooves I do with a dremel. Sometimes I have to drill and tap a screw into the work and chuck the screw if it's to big around for my 5/8 chuck.

Those look like they have a nice cutting head on them and a nice exposed edge. I've been only turning alu, but I've got to get something better than files, sandpaper and even a pocket knife. My bits just didn't cut it and the hardware store hasn't got any engraving or lathe stuff.

Aha, I thought you meant something with a round head. That actually looks like a fairly secure setup. I haven't even got a flat bit like that, I might see if they have a carbide tip wood chisel in a smaller size. The pocket knife sounds funny, but shaves it off pretty well actually.

I see now that I called my bit by the wrong name (and I spelled it wrong too ) Yea Forstner bits are round not flat. Sorry about that. Feel free to subtract 10 points from my total score for the screw up.

I'm thinking a few more holes in the body and you could have a flute pv. I'm looking at one now with feathers and beads. Make it a peace pipe flute mod.

I like your innovative lathe. is that a compound vise with a spade bit?
Its getting to cold here for mod work in the shed. I guess i will have to wait for spring for future modding.

No it's not even a compound vise. That would be better but,,,, Just having to make due with what I have. Improvise.

I haven't modded any NDN items. (respect for the ancestors and all that, I'm sure you understand). Specially my Prayer Pipe. In some Tribes the Pipe is very sacred. The Cherokee hold the Tobacco sacred, not the pipe but it is respected. I have thought about "Chiefing up" one of my mods with a few beads and fake feathers tho or a medicine bag style pouch to carry it in. (that's bound to frizz off an Elder or two)

I do understand. do you think it would be disrespectful to make one from scratch?

on the other hand there are so many other things that could be modded there is no sense trying to make a pipe or flute with a electronic devise.
