Randomly, I bought a metal tube for my ViVi Nova since the cinnamon I was vaping was eating other things (It even ate through the base of one of my drip tips). I figured, screw it, metal tube and metal drip tip will solve this problem... Well, here's the thing. I actually ordered two metal tubes and one came with an interesting bonus. O-rings! "What's the big deal", you say? Well, here's the big deal:

One of my ViVi Novas would leak if I didn't screw the tank down super tight. These O-rings, seem to have fixed that issue. One of my Stardust replacables has a faulty O-ring that got shredded in half. One of my Smok TiTans won't work well with any tube except the one it came with (while the other two work good with any of the tubes I have for those).

This lead to my great O-ring search. I wanted to find some silicon O-rings that were just a bit beefier than the ones that were on these tanks. I found some red ones that were 70 durometer (sizes -012, -014, and -016) that I thought would fit the bill for all three of the tank styles I use (mostly StarDust, ViVi Nova, SplitFire, TiTan). Minimum order and shipping costs set me back $20. Turns out I didn't do some math right and these are just too big. Oh well, who doesn't need 300 O-rings that don't do what you planned.

With some of the StarDusts, I occasionally get one that the O-ring gets pulled into the threading and rips, or is impossible to actually get off because the O-ring has seized to the tube.

With some of the ViVi Novas, and SplitFire I have to tighten the tank past where I feel comfortable to make them seal well.

With the TiTans, some of the tubes can be tightened all the way down until the two metal thread sleeves are totally meshed together and still no good seal.

Here's what I was wondering, has anyone else been on this O-ring quest, and have they had better luck?

Have you found a source for O-rings for any of these tanks? Can you tell me where and what sizes you have found work best?

Do you have any good practices for when a tank will not seal no matter how tight you screw it in?

Thanks a ton for any feedback.

I am not sure of all the different parts (drip top, upper and lower for each of the tanks, inner for the stardusts) but it seems generally like I'm looking for 1mm CS silicon O-rings with ID sizes between 6mm (for a drip tip) and 12mm (for the upper on a TiTan). I'm checking some places locally, but if I have to order online again, that's fine.

um I dont know about replacements I might like to know too. But in a pinch I have borrowed one from an unsed nova and doubled them up. And my stv nova has a black hardware store oring at the bottom of the tank but I dont recall the size and it dosent fit right - I had to tighten it down with pliers if I rember correctly and it still didnt seat the tank all the way on the base like it is supposed to be. But it stopped it from leaking...

Haven't found an o-ring yet for it, so I just bought a new Vivi nova. I bought a metal tank from GV for my older nova and it leaked. I discovered that the older tanks' threading went all the way to the ends, and the metal tank has chamfers on the inside lip before the threading starts. This prevented a good seal.
Thinking that the newer Novas have a slightly different cap and O-ring design. Hence my purchase.
