gotvapes gotploblems

This past weekend I tried to place an order at gotvapes useing the coupon code ecf ( which from the info on the site said it was good for 10% discount till late november of this year). When I tried to check out it said "invalid coupon code". So after 4 or 5 times reentering my billing info and it saying invalid code I hit the contact us button and sent a message. The message was short and to the point (I believe in being direct when it comes to business). Being early afternoon on a Sunday I did'nt expect an answer till the next day. Early tuesday I get the reply saying that the coupon was only active when they first started for testing. I replied expressing my disappointment and suggested they remove the bad info from the site. While waiting for a reply I decided to come here and see what kind of reviews they have gotten from others. The next reply I get is "I'm confused, We advertise nowhere that you can use an ecf coupon when ordering from the site". Since I read where someone else had shown where they changed policy on the site in the middle of their desbute. I was going to see if they removed the bad info about the coupon code. Which at this point is all I was
trying to do, so others wouldn't have the same missunderstanding. So I try to go to their site and I cant get on. I check my connection its fine, still can't get on. After a few minutes of trying to get on the site I decide to switch to a different internet connection ( I have several ), and what do you know I can get on, switched back, can't get on. Anyway swiched again and got on the site, saw the bad info was still there copied it an pasted it in my reply E-mail explaining how to get to it. That was yesterday morning, still waiting for a reply.

Now haveing suspicions of my IP being blocked from the site. I decided to run a couple of tests to see if there was another explanation for why I couldn't get on the site. I coudn't come up with any! So now I'm the one confused as to why. In all our communications there were no indication of a problem that would warrant such action, no anger, no names, no threats. In my opinion such action is very unprofessional and childish. If they didn't want me as a customer he could of stated that in the E-mail conversation and I wouldn't be here writing this review.

If this how they treat a customer trying to place an order, I can only imagine how they would treat someone that had problem with an order they have already made. In my opinion this is a shame because they carry some very interesting products. And I have found badkolo/Djbizzum's youtube video's to be very helpful (he's not who I interacted with in the E-mails).

To find the info I'm referring to type ecf on the following link and click send

Discount Coupon : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Or from the gotvapes site click site map at the bottom of the page, then click discount coupons, then use ecf in the look-up box and click send.

The coupon code you speak of was buried in the sitemap. It dated back to November 25th 2011 when I was testing the site.

We never used that coupon code as we decided on a VIP discount for Newsletter subscribers. This was much better we thought, as it encourages our customers to join our mailing list and in return we give them a perpetual 5% discount on everything on the website, forever. It is not good just for signing up for the newsletter but you get that discount everytime you shop at GotVapes.com as long as you are still signed up for the newsletter. Also you don't have to remember a code. It is automatically applied to your shopping cart.

You were the first customer who mentioned something about finding this code buried on the site, even though it was deactivated. Even after a coupon code is deactivated, it remains in the database. Therefore you can find it if you go to the sitemap, click on a link that says Discount Codes, and do a a search on 'ecf'. I left it there, deactivated but not deleted, just in case I wanted to activate it for some future special.

When you emailed me I was honestly confused as I was not aware a deactivated coupon code could be searched on - but I imagine the search code simply looks in the coupon database, regardless of whether a coupon code is active or not. I was confused because we have never promoted this code in the ECF forum or on our site. So I therefore have removed it completely from the database.

Sorry if this caused any confusion and I hope this better explains our VIP discount program.

By the way, not sure if you are using FireFox, we have had soem issues in the past with people trying to access the site with FireFox.

Thank you for removeing that code info. I got to that page from a link when I performed a search for "gotvapes coupon code". Then I just typed in What are fairly common codes for forum suppliers ecf, ecf5, ecf10 and so on. I did go digging for the page on th site map (if useing a site map is considered digging) after you said it wasn't there, so I could explain to you where it was.
Anyway the important thing is that its removed now!

As far as your VIP discount it was never in question. To give your customers a discount is I'm sure good for business.

And no I don't use FireFox I've found it to be in my opinion crap. The suspicions of my IP being block from your site is not something I would publicly state without good reason( ie same computer on a different network IP, ping trace) to believe that it was. However if you say that its not I will take your word for it. Because for me to get actual proof that it is or isn't is far to involved and complex, and I won't put myself through it again for something as pety as this.

Again thank you for removeing the faulty information.
