First, my experience with the GV 50% off sale
I ordered all unflavored on November 4th. I was concerned because the site said it would be delivered in 7 to 10 days and I wasnt sure what to expect when things were running behind because Id never ordered from Gourmet Vapor before. I emailed on the 10th day and then again on the 11th. Immediately after the second email I received a very polite response that contained an apology for the inconvenience, as well a heads up that my package would be shipped that day. My package came 2 days later, carefully packaged and everything was there. No small feat considering the Magnitude of this Great sale!
I dont know how to attach it but I read Todds letter of explanation for the backlog in the other thread. To say the least, Im impressed by his integrity. The letter is not only heartfelt but fills in all the blanks. There are some great vendors out there, but Todd is definitely a model for all to aspire to.
I have to disagree with Todds possible assessment of the situation though. I feel it will help, not hurt his business. For me anyway, it gave me a chance to hear long-term customers rave about the quality of his liquids and his character as well. Also, it allowed me to see how he dealt with the situation when the chips were down. In my book hes proven his long-term customers right, and has made another one.
Todd, if you happen to read this; if I could make one suggestion it would be to send out a brief mass email to everyone if youre getting behind. If that isnt possible, update the number of days until expected delivery on your site and always overestimate that date. Doing one of those would probably be a lot quicker than clearing your swamped inbox. I know it would have saved you from getting two emails from me.
So all thats left to ask is: Todd, when is your next Great sale?
