If they are, then let them. We're not doing anything illegal here. A bunch of people talking about a device that delivers a completely legal drug into our blood with far fewer risks than the old delivery method is SCARY! Unless a chunk of your paycheck comes from cigarette taxes or big pharma, of course.

Would big pharma and big tobacco assign some schmuck unpaid PR or R&D intern to lurk and troll the forums? Absolutely.
Anyone can see the conversation, pro or anti vaping. It isn't so much who is listening/reading as much content and solid contributions that the participants bring to the discussion.
However that is with the perspective of someone in the United States. There are other governments that do monitor citizen traffic and conversations. If I was that alarmed and were to visit said nations or be from one then I'd probably be on a desktop/laptop that was fully armed with more than a few backup proxies and VPNs.
Hard to say with concrete certainty considering so many variables.

I've seen estimates as high as a half million USA vapers, plus people who have recently quit smoking cold turkey due to the price. Multiply that by the tax revenue being lost DAILY ... I think we've already got their attention.

Singapore has a ban on e-cigarettes but has not strictly enforced the ban across the board. They go after any re-sellers and whatever passes through and is spotted via their customs. I believe that is what the OP is initially referencing as to test the water if big brother is monitoring.

It wouldn't suprise me at all. I am a very active 4x4 enthusiast. The greenies always keep an eye on our local websites to see if we are going in the woods and tearing them up. Local law enforcement also keeps a close eye on them forums.

I'm sure the government is watching. The government is so damned BIG it wouldn't surprise me if members of the ECF are themselves government employees.

Well, i have no worries on Government watching this. because i did recommended the Government in Singapore to do so. Well my intention of this Topic was to tell each and everyone of us that but not to worry actually. To certain extend that In Singapore Selling E-cig is still illegal, so i just highlight them as well.

Anyone ever watch Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura? He did one about all this...Big Brother and the government watching us. And private contractors being hired as public spies. If even a little bit of what he showed is true...I is skeert. lol Seriously. But it's a show on cable, so I'll take my chances.
I hope they are watching and taking notes about the success stories being written daily on this forum.
I'm a visitor into the country, so know I'm on the hitlist. Isn't the game to be honest and integral (or at least pretend) in what you do, so big brother says "yeap yeap, move along citizen"?
