GPS Charger Compatibility

Hey!

I was about to buy a Car Charger for my mini but realized that the Charger for my SONY NAV-U GPS would fit (has the same jack).

Now , someone who understands this, please help. Here are the specs:

SONY charger:

FUSE 2.5A 125V
INPUT DC 12/24V
OUTPUT DC 5.2V 2A

Now, on the mini charger (the part to connect the jack to):

INPUT: 100~240V~50/60Hz
12-24V===0.08A
OUTPUT: 4.2V===0.1A

So could my sony substitute the mini car charger? I'm guessing the answer is no because it's only 5 volts but i want to make sure...

Pedro--the output specs need to be 5V 1000mA or 1 Amp. That mini will not work with a .1A output and the other is outputing 2 Amp---you need something at 1 Amp--very easy to find (Walmart, Bestbuy. etc)---Sun

Thank you for your suggestion. However I am very confused about the volts and amps.

I was thinking 12-24V-- 0.08A would be what I needed.
