Good to see a Michigan group on this forum. Too bad I have a prior commitment or else I would have loved to meet some other 'ganders at the meet in October.

And for those that might be looking for a brick and mortor vapor shop, there might just be one opening in the Grand Rapids area in the near future. Still a little red tape to cut through. Government really hates small businesses with all the hoops they make you jump through. Anyway, I'll keep this group updated on the progress.

I'm really excited and nervous at the same time. Taking a big chance that the FDA will continue to lose their battle and that Michigan won't go the same route as NY and ban ecigs. But there is a ton of interest and I hope having a place to buy local and share knowledge will benefit the people that have reservations about ecigs. I don't see this as a fad that will fade away anytime soon. Like I said, still some red tape to cut through, but getting closer everyday.

Welcome Rebel! I'm wishing you tons of luck. I live a couple hours away but my wife and I visit the "Rapids" quite often. Got a room booked on the 25th of September for Art Prize.
I'd LOVE to see a store in GR. I'd buy something every time I came to town.

I'll send you an invitation for the grand opening. Like I said, nothing finalized yet, still working on location, suppliers, etc, but it's getting there. I'm hoping to get something concrete by the end of November. That includes the shop and the website. Man, if I knew how much was involved when I first started, I might have reconsidered. Plus I'm still working fulltime so my freetime has been reduced to nothing.

LOL! As long as we can talk about the Lions after the hug, then it's all good.

I still have a ways to go, but for now, it's all about location, location, location. Downtown GR has some great potential, but also some hefty rent. So I'm seeing what's out there right now. I would like to have enough room to carry plenty of inventory, a nice display area, and maybe a vaping lounge with a few couches and chairs to hang out and sample PVs and different juices. I feel if someone can actually test drive a PV, especially someone who's never used one, they will be able to find the right one the first time. I did it the hard way and I'm now on my fourth PV and waiting on my second mod to show up (Ali'i). If I would of had a place to go and try them our first, I could have saved myself a ton of money and months of frustration.

I'll keep everyone updated on the progress and if you have any suggestions or ideas as far as what you'd like to see in stock, throw it out here. I'm always open to new ideas, especially if it means customers!

Hey Rebel. You might want to talk to CartHeadMod. He was looking into this a few months back. He's from Holland and was looking at the both the Holland and Grand Rapids area. I guess he's an attorney and is selling out of his law office now. I think his company is 'Left Coast Vapor". He may be able to tell you what he's learned about this.

Red Death, that little shopping center has a Smoke/Cigarette shop in it that sells Edge E-Cigs, but he said he wasn't happy with the customer service he was getting from them and thought he might get out of them.

Hey Tax,

That would be great. I'll PM you when I'm ready for my first order. I have a few suppliers lined up and I'm almost ready to do a sample order to test the customs issues. Keeping my fingers crossed because of some stories I've heard.

I haven't heard of any co-ops besides the ones in PIF. They seem to have them all the time. Check them out if you get a chance.

Actually working with a realtor at this time. I'm looking all over for the usual reasons, cost being the biggest factor right now. Easttown would be a nice area. I'm looking at a couple of sites that are available on Fulton near Jefferson right now. We'll see how it plays out. Both have plenty of room for setting up with room left over for a decent lounge to hang out and vape. But I also need room to start mixing my own line of juices, so that's a concern. Why does our government make it so flipping hard to start a small business? LOL I'll keep ya updated and thanks for the ideas. Keep them coming. I'd love to hear what you guys are looking for as far as in stock items, kits, juices, etc. Thanks!
