Hey, so I got into rebuilding about a month ago on a UD Bellus. I was looking for a step -up in flavor and vapor over my Egrip & Aerotank Mega setups which I did get! I'm not looking to make huge clouds just something decent so I've been buiding my single coils at between 1.0 - 1,2 ohms and vaping at 18-21w which works pretty nice as far as vapor and flavor are concerned. However I feel I'm in a bit of a gray area concerning how to hit it, mouth or lung. Both sometimes are unpleasant on the throat, I feel maybe I'm on too high wattage for mouth hits but too low for lung hits? I would prefer to stay with mouth hits as i feel I don't inhale as deep into my lungs that way. Any thoughts on to what may be cause the itching dry feeling in the throat when inhaling? Thanks

always use mouth to lung; taste your vape;

it's like taking a sip of something;
if the sip doesn't taste good you're not going to just gulp down a mouthful

so in the same way, you should not just put on a new coil, set some wattage, put some juice and just take a full blown direct hit without testing it out first.

What juice are you using, how much nic is in it and what is the PG/VG ratio? That could be another source of your throat hit.

Besides the higher heat you are vaping at, due to the boosted wattages for the ohms. In my mech a 1ohm coil produces between 12 and 17 watts and the1.2ohm does 10-15, depending on battery state. You are running thus ohm range with wattage boosted about 25%, that could also be contributing. But the heat of the vape will be dependent on the wire used to reach the ohm rate.
