The Fortesque Mansion, UK
European Union regulating e-cigarettes based on ideology and theories, but not science

Love this part:

However, few years ago, studies showing nicotine to be harmful were strongly opposed by scientific groups (such as Cancer Research UK), stating that: “The interpretation is highly speculative and contradicted by evidence that many millions of people have been using nicotine replacement therapy with no increased risk of oral or any other cancer. If reports like this stop people using what for many would be a life-saving medication it would be very unfortunate.” They are absolutely correct, but the same statement should be done today for e-cigarettes.

Part of the lead-in to the quote above:

....why is every study on nicotine targeting e-cigarettes? Don’t NRTs also have nicotine? Why don’t we hear anyone discussing about nicotine in NRTs?

Ah HA!

Coming back to regulatory decisions, it is unprecedented that a product is regulated based on theoretical concerns, especially when such concerns are completely contrary to any available evidence.

Such a simple truth.

Profound post by Dr. Farsalinos, indeed! Thanks for posting this.

It won't surprise me at all to see the NRT's on the chopping block next year. Chantix will be the only option. Chantix has no nicotine to fight nicotine "addiction", (notice how even BP is setting the tone on that one. They of all people know it's a dependence!). Nicotine is beneficial in relieving ailments, symptoms caused by MonSantos & other forced upon us products. BP doesn't like our self medicating with natural alternatives. (BP free).
Wake up America! Research who started the U.N., Plum Island, Bayer Aspirin, and so on. I'm beginning to believe this stuff more & more every day.
