Great video!! Perfect explanation.
What blows me away is how militant the FDA is being on this issue. I can't even imagine the financial harm that has been brought to smaller e-cig companies by them illegally seizing their shipments, and just the fact that the FDA (federal government) did this should frighten any business owner.
My guess is that the FDA has received a lot of 'advice' (ahem) from legislators and other people in government power who understand that the e-cigarette industry will eventually devastate Big
tobacco and Big Pharma (two of this country's biggest lobbyists/campaign contributors). Also, I'm quite certain that those in power understand full-well how e-cigs will eventually devastate tax revenue generated from cigarettes, which states have used to pay for everything from social programs to the S-CHIP program.
Even the average non-smoker/non-vaper should be following this case closely. It shows how quickly the Feds can shut down an entire fledgling industry--even in a recession, when you'd think they'd be encouraging such things. Those who believe that the Feds are doing this because they care about us and want us to be safe and healthy are out of their ever-loving minds.
The Feds don't want any harm to come to their 'too big to fail' Big
tobacco and Big Pharma, because the they depend on them like a parasite depends on its host. The federal government doesn't like small business--especially a successful and innovative one that is set to destroy one or more of their hosts, because they have no use for them...unless they can regulate them and tax the living daylights out of them...or create good little lobbying arms out of them.
Anyway, that's my two-cents. Thanks so much for this video. I'll be sure to pass it on.
