I've tried on both an auto and a manual...same story. I actually did try to unscrew it a little bit but then it was just all air basically.

WTF?

Does your auto battery have the notch cut by the hole where the .... plug goes? Look at the manuals, they don't have it but the autos should.

okay, just checked and the black auto battery I tried to use it with actually has a green LED like the manuals, but no button...so maybe it's an odd "manual" that works like an auto?

Yep, I guess that's the case, just tried on my other auto battery and they work...I guess I have some hybrid mutant auto/manual battery!?!?

Yeah, China has been sleeping on the job I think! Glad you got it worked out! I do like the draw, but wasn't too impressed with the taste, although I hear they are good when refilled with decent fluid.

I just got all of my stuff last week and none of them have the slots. My very short list includes:

1 manual passthru
1 auto passthru
2 auto batteries

Not a slot to be found. No problem for me though. The GC carts work just great on my Silver Bullet with a couple of adapters.

I really only wanted the GC carts for 6v vaping. I'm afraid 6v would burn a VK atty in short order. I dont know that, but it makes sense to me.

It is definitely all about the notch. The auto batteries have the notch in the top of the connector and the manuals do not, so the autos work and the Manuals do not. Manual pass-thru does not either, so I ordered an auto pass-thru hoping it will have the notch so I can use a VK pass-thru w/ the Greencig carts.

Nothing performs like a spanking fresh VK cartomizer, but you can vape a Greencig cart dry as a bone and never find yourself smoking batting.

It may be off topic, but I wish they'd wrap the VK filament in those fiberglass hairs or something else that wouldn't burn...that would also make refilled carts much more reliable.

Read my post above.

My auto batteries, received last week, don't have the slot, notch, whatever you want to call it.

Whether these are the newest batteries or an odd lot, I don't know. All I know for sure is that not all auto batteries have them.

Bob

Same with me. 1 auto had the notch/slot. 1 auto didn't have the notch/slot.
