Hello All,

I am a newbie her and posted on anothers post, but got the suggestion of starting my own thread, so here I am. :p

A month ago my son sent me some ego-t batteries and clearmizers and some e-juices, as I have been smoking butts for over 40 years and the past 7-8 years doing RYO. as I told him I would really like to quit if I could find an easy way to.

I have always smoked menthol lights when I did store bought. with RYO I finessed the right tobacco mix and tubes to get the flavor I like..

with the juices he sent a few I ordered in sample sizes I did ok, not finding the right flavor and having some clearomizers that leaked, and taste burnt even when new and full.. but still used them and went from a pack plus a day smoker to half then a third then down to 5-6 a day... still had (and have) times of day when I really want a real ......

At the beginning I was last I went to the smoke shop where I get my tobacco and tubes and they were curious as to why I was not buying my usual amounts (use to do 2 weeks or supplies at a time) .. I told them about the e-cig and that I was trying that.. The owner does sell some supplies, she told me they started carrying a new one called Green Smart Living and the distributor left them samples for folks to try.. So, I tried the menthol high and LOVED the taste, its seems to be menthol and maybe bubble gum but have not figured it out yet... BUT since then I have not smoked a single ......

I saw on another's post that someone had the GSL carto (I am still not sure of the terminology of all) on a battery and thought hmm, maybe I could do that too.. Tho I will say the GSL battery does last most of the day for me.. and I have been vaping more since I really really love the taste.

I tried the carto on my ego it screwed into it, but nothing came out for vapor.. as I know these batteries will last me a couple days..

so, my questions are:

what batteries would work on the GSL carto..

But even more important, does anyone know or anyplace that has ejuice that is a very close match to the GSL menthol high? since this would be the most economical way to go.

I would like to drop the nicotine amount soon, but at this point I figure just the nicotine is better then all the other crap is in tobacco..

in a months time my sense of smell which I did not realize how bad it was is starting to return, as are my taste buds.. and that is a concern, I may not like some of my favorite foods soon!

If anyone can give any advice I would greatly appreciate it..

thank you.

Welcome to ECF mymares

It helps me to think about it like this: This is like any other new hobby whether it be remote controlled cars or kites or RYO. You're going to go through items that fit your life style and items you'll try once and never use again (the single cigarette RYO stuffer when trying to make a few packs comes to mind). A lot of the problems you describe we have all been through particularly at the beginning. This stuff definitely has a learning curve but if you put in the time it pays back 100 fold. Some of the issues you describe could also have been the wrong items for you or low rate knock offs it's impossible to tell.

As I stated in the other thread (repeating so others know it's been stated) You very well may need to just go through a number of samples until you find the one you like but there may be others here who have already done the foot work for exactly what you are asking. There are plenty of people on here that started with the cigalikes like GSL who can help you better than I. Also I think the GSL wouldn't fire on your eGo-T because Green try to make them proprietary by shortening the Positive terminal but someone may correct or disagree with me.

Hopefully you'll get the answer you're looking for. There is a traffic bump in the evenings so even if the right response doesn't come right now it may later.

I'm sure the ocelot will check in soon. If she had a pic of the cartos she will know the type threading and what battery you can use. I have never used those but the 510 threaded types are the most popular. Welcome to ECF.

I believe you said it screwed onto your eGo so definitely a 510 threading.

I don't know for sure this is what you are looking for, but here is a vendor that sells Green Smart Living compatible stuff. Perhaps you can find the flavor etc. you are looking for here? http://www.themagicmist.com/GreenSmartLiving-compatible-s/112.htm

They seem to have both cartomizers and juce available. Good luck!

Great post, I love the disclaimer too "Magic Mist products are not designed, manufactured, licensed, or sponsored by the owners of the GreenSmartLiving mark."

thank you Omnipanzer for the response..

I think as I am getting older I am getting lazier, just want to find the perfect match for all! then again, I am sure many do...

For me, this is not a hobby but a quit smoking helper, tho I am sure that I will continue on with it.. I am now on day 4 just vaping..

yes the carto screwed into the inside of my ego-t is there a modification that I can do to either? I can play around with them but prefer not to... time is not always on my side..

thanks again for your help..

Thank you Fourthrok, I checked out the magic mist site.. If the cartomizers are the same they are much cheaper.. I may order one of their batteries and some juice to see if its similar. batteries are cheaper and SUPPOSE to last longer. at this point I dont have a problem with the battery being short lived, but its been less then a week and I am sure the more I re-charge the shorter its life span will become..

I see that we are in the same area! is there a store in Jax that you get your supplies from?

I want to hasten to mention that I personally have NOT used that vendor, but it did come recommended by another vaper I knew about 1 year and a half ago. Hopefully they are still good?! They seem like a pretty good outfit and they've grown a LOT since I visited them back in 2011!! (I was trying to find Safe Cig compatible stuff back then...I really liked them, but moved on from them after a few months and didn't get a chance to try out that site).

I'm in the Argyle area...near Oakleaf Plantation. No vape shops around here, but I know there is at least one here in town somewhere. It was featured on Ch. 4 a month or two back! I looked at their site, but wasn't looking to buy at the time. I believe it's called VaporNine.
I order all my stuff online..it's just easier for me.

What I would personally do is get a Clearomizer (something like a CE4 with replacement heads or a Vivi Nova Mini) for that ego-T. Find a juice you like and vape away. That in my opinion will be your best combination of cost effective and simplicity. As long as you make sure to keep your wick wet you shouldn't get that burning flavor until the head is burnt up and then you just replace the head which screws on and off. But these are just a few options out of many.

The links I posted are just so you can see what I'm talking about, I'm not suggesting you buy from those specific vendors.

I have been looking but not able to find here a forum on the batteries, cartomizers, voltages, etc... a place for a newbie to get honest info on what works together and what doesnt etc?

Did you look here? New Members Information Might find some helpful stuff there. I'm not sure. I joined ECF about a year after I started vaping and learned the ropes in the school of hard knocks! lol!!

Personally, while I know a lot of people recommend the clearo type things like the CE4 etc. ...I still think that for you, and what you are saying...it probably is best to stick with the cartomizers for now. They aren't hard to refill, and are reliable and less "fiddly". Of course, it's fine to try them out...but in addition to the cartomizers if you wish...until you are truly comfortable.

I am in the Oceanway area, tho not near the ocean!

I just checked them out and I will be in the area of their Beach Blvd store in the morning, I will stop in and check them out. I understand about ordering online, does make it easier most of the time.. just need to know if you are ordering what it is you really want! since I drive by there a couple days a week I may as well stop in and see what they got!

thanks again for the info, really appreciate it.. :D

This is perfect, veterans will often suggest stopping at a store if you have one so you can see the items up close before you make decisions and you can talk face to face with people who generally know what they are talking about.

Oh and since you asked your eGo-T 1100 should be an 1100 mAh battery that fires at about 3.7volts (varies from fully charged to empty) and you generally want to be using low resolution (LR) cartomizers with those. About 1.8-2.1 Ohms

I have no idea about the "Green" stuff though.

I dont think I will have a long enough life to read all the posts! very informative tho, some answered questions, others make me have more questions

I do have the E2 clearomizers, that is what my son sent.. How can I tell if they are rebuildable? if I can find the "perfect" juice I would use them and the E-go.. I still do, but really prefer that GSL menthol high taste!

Thanks again for the info and imputs, really appreciate it.
