Green Smoke and bad tasting burnt cartridges

Me and my girlfriend recently got a green smoke starting kit and we have been having the problem that almost all of the cartridges we have been using have this disgusting burnt smell that develops often after very short time of use. I do realize that this might be partially our own fault due to not waiting long enough between smokes but is there anyone who knows a solution to this.

We really need help for this. I wish we could buy something better but due to law where we live we can't buy any other type since the nicotine liquid is banned by law since it is classified as a drug but since green smoke has closed cartridges some vendors managed to circumvent this law. I do have a joy510 but I can't use that one with nicotine. Any advice how to avoid this burnt taste and smell would be very much welcome since we really want to change over to ecigs but this would be a deal breaker.

I have started experimenting with taking the green smoke carts apart and transitioning them into a joy cartridge, does seem to work so far. I tried taking the cotton out of the joy cart and putting in the cotton from the gs. However there seems to be some liquid lost with this method so I was thinking about getting the liquid into the joy cartridge by simply winding the liquid out of the gs into the joy cartridge. Perhaps I could even take a few of them and put into a empty bottle. tastes good though the one I did before, no burn smell or taste.

Many "name" brands on the web lie about how long a cartomizer lasts. A carto does not last as long as a pack of cigarettes. And when it gets low on juice it will singe the stuffing and cause a burnt taste and the carto is ruined. Sometimes it help to tilt the ecig carto-down for 5 seconds whenever the vapor seems a bit light or a bit dry - that can help redistribute whatever juice is left in it. But the real solution, when tipping down does not help, is to add e-liquid. Some "name" brands just want to lock you in to them - they don;t sell blank cartos, they may even use hard caps or glued on caps on the cartos to discourage refilling.

My suggestion would be to return the hardware if you are in the warranty period. They will make you keep the cartos. Buy the near-twin but more supported KR808D-1 (see Vapor4Life.com for colors and prefilled and blank cartos). Buy a D1 to D2 adapter at leCig.com and that will let you use up your Greensmoke cartos (Greensmoke is KR808D-2). KR808D-1 is the most supported 2-piece - there are blank soft-cap and reservoir cartos for it. The Vapor4Life prefilled cartos are soft-cap. Whenever the vapor seems a bit dry or light and tilting doesn't help it, I add ejuice. You should be able to get 4-7 days use out of one carto.

And I recommend manual batteries too - most sealed against juice drips because manuals are not dependent on a drag sensor in the threaded end of the battery. Manuals also won't turn on accidentally from wind or vibration. And I think they are less work.

If instead, you want to keep the Greensmoke, then search on Youtube for refill Greensmoke (or refill Green Smoke) to figure out how to add juice. It may not be as easy as what I do with soft-caps.

@ helmar, I found that when I used cartomizers they lasted for a few hours (for my amount of use). When you say they burn after a short amount of time, how short an amount of time is that? I used about 3-4 cartos per day. Most cartos hold about 1ml of e-iquid and most vapers go through about 3ml per day, so if you are using only 1 carto per day, you may be using them up until they are burned to a crisp (that would be the case if I used 1 per day).

3 or 4 refilled carto's a day isn't bad at all. At 1 ml a pop, I'd say that's average usage.

I am still waiting for my Tank to be delivered so still with Green Smoke and its cartridges take me a day and I was thinking
that I am a little more than average user...
So I am doing pretty good...

You'll be much better off with what you are getting.

Don't get me wrong dude. If GS is doing you right, then good for you. I just like to be sure and mention that I have been that route, and there is a much more cost effective way to go. Plus, with the other alternatives out there, you can mix and match lots more parts together that are still waaay more cost effective than GS.

Good luck to you!!
