This isn't exactly a review but...I had the Greensmoke and returned it because the batteries (automatics) died very quickly. Supposedly they have a new and improved battery now. I wanted to try it because of it being a two-piece, thinking there would be one less part to fail, which is true. I really liked their menthol cartomizers and you do get a lot of vapor from them. However, it's mostly mouth vapor, very little throat hit. Those cartomizers aren't cheap either...and I never had much luck topping them off. The bottom line for me though was the cost just wasn't worth it. If money isn't an issue, you might want to try them...you can always return it within 30 days.

The greensmoke is the first thing I found when looking into ecigs and thank god I found this site. You can do better, Look for threads on the 510. Forget about the "cartomizer" hoohie. They don't last like they say they do, you will spend a ton on them. The price to buy extra coarts and batts for the 510 (or other models) outweighs the cost of the two piece units.

I can't speak to the GS battery since it was much more expensive than it's same-model competitors, what I can speak to is their cartridges, I'm a big fan. The flavors are really good and I've yet to find a vanilla that comes close. E9's in general, though are REALLY short-life batteries.

I have since found the KR-808D1 which is great, I HIGHLY recommend Vapor 4 Life as their flavors are great, price is right, and customer service is second-to-none. I was a fairly heavy smoker and now I can go out all day with 2 batteries and my PCC (as a safety net, I rarely use it) and I'm all set.

Good luck.

Thanks, I'm new to all this so bear with me. A lot of the terminology and model numbers are lost on me

I was going to edit my last post but couldn't, so I'll try to explain what I'm looking for:

A mini-cig, something similar to an analog in size and look.

Good battery life

Decent replacement cartridge price. I've read about dripping and refilling your own, I probably wouldn't do that to start but maybe down the road.

I'd be using it at work and on the go, so possibly charging it in a computer, or a wall socket at work and home.

Question though: Do you have to replace the batteries if they aren't defective? Or can you just recharge for as long as they don't break?

I'm looking for something that basically looks like an analog, with good cartridge life and ease of use. Charging it daily won't bother me too much, but I want it to last for a full day at least.

From what I have read, with GS, you will be charging the battery every 45 minutes to an hour.

The only way you are going to get a device that will last you the day is by getting a premiere device. But you also stated that it had to look like the real thing, so you can forget the premiere devices with the longest battery life, best overall performance and best throat hit.

The ones that look like the real thing are the dse084 or the Blu or the RN4081. And buying carts is definitely easier than using liquid as long as you don't mind the taste or the exta cost. Most devices have prefilled carts that come with them.

Every 45 minutes? That doesn't seem right at all. I smoke maybe 1 cigarette every 1 to 2 hours, perhaps 15 drags each. How would the battery die that fast?

Because the batteries on the devices that look like the real thing are TINY. And they are doing the hardest thing a battery can do - heat a coil. But then if you only smoke about 10 analogs a day, a small device might work for you. That is not close to being typical for members of this forum. Most of us were a pack or more a day smokers.

For someone who only takes a few puffs every couple of hours, then I would suggest just getting the smallest, cheapest one you can find.

That short of a battery life seems a bit sketchy to me.

I thought I wanted something that looked like a cig but guess what my friend told me get a Joye 510 available at cignot.com for $35 bucks. And I do not care what anyone else thinks in fact I have about 15 people I know (one already ordered) interested in quitting with the device I have. It compares to an actual cig for me and I am happy with my purchase but I did smoke 2 packs a day and hubby smoked 3.

FYI - I have only been vaping since Friday.

You could get a Joye306. It's comparable in size to a 100 analog. You can even get it in the cigarette colors (though I would recommend the black one because it'll give you less hassle in public if people don't think you're smoking a real cig). The batteries will need to be charged frequently, but you can use the 510 PCC with it so you're charging on the go. The 510 and 306 are compatible, so when you eventually want something with a little more "oomph" (and you will, probably), you can get a 510 and all your parts will be interchangeable. I'm really surprised by the vapor and throat hit of the 306 even with the auto battery cutoff, but it really shines when you attach the atomizer with a 510 manual battery.
