Hello, everyone!
I'm new to vaping and was only able to start vaping ( and stop smoking ) because of this forum,
it's users, and the large amount of information shared by you.
I had Heard of E-Cigarettes before, but hadn't given them serious thought, until this last April.
I went online looking for products, reviews, BBB info and consumer reviews/complaints of the websites I found.
I was overwhelmed by the huge number of what appeared to be fake, untrustworthy websites, claims of very long delivery times for orders ,and complaints of poor quality, etc.

This was the first product, that I'd ever seen that seemed to have a large consumer base, but no reliable suppliers.
(I mean really 3-6 months for delivery?)
I spent nearly a month searching and couldn't find a single retailer I was willing to try, because of all that.
I had this forum (and other) come up in my google searches, but I as looking for a retailer, not a "fansite",
until early June, out of the blue, I suddenly remembered getting a hit on google, in which the phrase "check the Forum Suppliers List" was used.
When I investigated it, I realized that ECF wasn't a stereotypical forum, that it was a community of people that used a group of products, and had banded together to form a reliable list of retailers and source of learning. Within an hour of bookmarking the ECF, I had chosen my first vendor and less then a week later I had smoked my last analog.

Thank You.

Welcome to ECF Raven, you have found your way to the best ecig resource in the world. So many of us here have been smoking for literally decades and ecigs are hopefully saving and prolonging our lives. That kind of thing focuses the mind I have found and I think this is why there are so many truly helpful people on here. Most of us know the stakes, and hope we get the same help and comradeship in return. Truly a good place and you are most welcome :)

Always check out a forum, most are informational or tutorial, I probably belong to a couple of dozen forums. Most are networking and software, but it's a lot easier to do a search on a forum than spend a couple of hours with tech support. Same with e-cigs, more than likely if your having a problem someone else has found a solution to it.

If there's something I need, whether it be advice on how to do something to where I can get a good piece of equipment or who may be having a great sale on goodies, this is my one-stop-shop right here. lol

If there's anything I've learned in my years of researching stuff on the web, it's that the best place to find answers is from a forum. :) All sites are not created equal though, but right from the start, I could tell this was the one place I could go to for info from folks who'd been at it for years. This place is priceless. And I have not had a single issue with any supplier (and there have been many!) listed on this board. Equipment, yes but that's to be expected but each of the few times I did have an equipment issue, it was resolved immediately with no questions asked. Great bunch of folks all around from the suppliers to the newbies.

Congrats and welcome!

Indeed, this isn't your typical site. Oh sure, there's plenty of chit chat and fan gushing and such, but this community's real strengths are its wide and varied expertise, pool of information, and the actual sense of community bordering on family formed from the deep thankfulness and appreciation we all share in the only thing that not only helped us quit smoking, but is itself an exceedingly enjoyable experience in its own right that we all want to share with the smoking world at large. Also, run-on sentences.

We all support one another and we all love sharing our experiences and offering our personal advice on the things we've liked, disliked or were indifferent to and the experiences we've had with cigarettes, quitting, and finding our perfect combination of hardware and juice.

Frankly, you won't find a better bunch of vapers all in one place anywhere else. :)

The problem i'll have is finding decent juice.......:glare:

That's a big club, but welcome to it. :D Actually it's not hard to find decent juice, but finding that really awesome juice that makes you just want to tent your house and fill the whole thing with fog takes a bit more effort. :)

Congrats Raven and a great big welcome to you!
I sooooo totally agree with you about ECF. They are the number one reason that I
gave these ole ecigs a "try". Just reading the success stories alone, was overwhelming
and gave me such "hope" that this time, maybe I can do it.

And almost 9 months later....here I am....totally FREE!!!! and been totally free,
after just 2 weeks of starting to vape.

Yea to all of us! and the greatest thanks again to all of you here at ECF.

Really cut down on my analogs since I received my ecig. Helps my breathing. Vape in the house. Which is nice with this heat.

I know exactly what you mean.
The last couple of years my lungs have become more sensitive.
Smoke from any source, a bbq grill, deep fryer. the smoke from a fast food restaurant's
grills(being vented from their roof), would cause coughing fits, that would last several minutes

and the heat and humidity .....
I hate florida...... except during the winter....
