Hey everyone,

Just discovered this forum a few minutes ago and decided to join up as I'm very interested in e-ciggys. I'm a camel smoker, have been smoking a pack or two a day for about 5 years now. I'm 23 so I still hold up a hope that if I can get a way to quit now I still might not suffer too horribly in the long run. There's one problem: I LOVE SMOKING. I quit for 30 days straight, cold turkey but buckled when hard times arose. I guess when it comes down to it, the only reason I want to quit is the health risk. I have a pretty bad cough and run out of breath easily. This product seems like the perfect solution. The only problem I have is the price. I'm looking at some places that are about US$45, which seems about right:
https://e-cig.com/shopping/shopdisplayp ... =E-MiniCig

And others that run for $250 or more.

Is there any shame to be had in buying the cheap version? Is there a giant difference between the two? And my last question: Which flavor should I get?!

If I were you, read thru much of this forum as you can. You will find alot of information and feedback.

When I was younger I hated cigarette smoke, even told others I was alergic to it. Then at about 21 I had a job that dealt with alot of traveling to and from cities fixing arcade machines in various locations. The traveling was very very boring. Along with that everyone I knew and hung out with Smoked.. smoke smoke smoke.. so I always felt a bit of an outcast. Then one day, met someone who was smoking a clove cigarette(Sampoerna Indonesia Clove Cigarettes to be exact) and loved the smell. Asked for one, lit it up.. thats all it took. Taste was so sweet and the smoke hitting my lungs and the buzz I got was so smooth, I was hooked. The long trips were not as bad now, I had something to do SMOKE!!!! got up to a pack a day of those darn cloves. After about a year and half I was feeling horrible and knew it was from smoking.. So I decided to try Marlboro lights.. figured, I hate regular ciggs, this will get me off of cloves and be done with smoking.. Well, 13 years later and I'm still smoking up to 2 packs a day now.. WTF happen... I've tried the patch, gum, some pill crap.. even ordered that zero smoke magnet thingy(the one you put in your ear) Still smoking. Most length of time I managed to not smoke was 6 months. 6 MONTHS!!!! All it took was some bad day that got worse and worse and being around smokers I broke down and took one drag.. then another, and another.. and so on. After reading your comment here, I LOVE SMOKING AS WELL.. Absolutely LOVE IT!!! That seems to be one of my main obstacles in quitting.. even knowing that its killing me...

A friend told me about njoy, had a little advertisement flyer. It immediately caught my attention and later that day I jumped online and ordered one. Ran thru youtube and websites reading up on e-cigs and just couldn't wait for mine. njoy came in.. I charged the battery loaded a cartridge and gave it a puff... Cough Cough Cough.. was different.. taste is different.. totally different experience from a real cigarette. It does have some similarities.. Oh did I get a head rush.. so the nicotine is definately there. Its a different technique to smoking an ecig than to a regular cig.. sometimes the drags you take will produce different amounts of vapor.. not always the same.. so you kind of get a feel for it you might say. Never the less.. I still have not quit smoking.. but have dropped from 30-40 ciggs a day to about 10 and plan to take it all the way to 0 soon as I find the right flavor, nicotine density, and type of Electronic-cigarette that suites me. The ecig is also fun to smoke am enjoying it.. even now as I'm typing puff puff puffing away. I don't cough from it anymore.. Not sure if I just learned how to smoke it.. or my lungs got used to it..

I've orded an njoy(penlike e-cig) $109.00, A dse-102 mini from ebay (100cm long) $46.00, and a 2pack mini Health E-cig from ebay $49.95. Out of those three, I use the Njoy more. The consistency of vapor is better than the other 2 types, my second best is the health E-cig mini.. taste is pretty good and vapor is decent.. Dealextreme I guess has same Health E-cig for sale for about 36.00 you'll find it here in the forums.. That may not be a bad buy to give it a try, but keep in mind.. cheaper price means cheaper quality. I personally think these E-cigs are just too new of a technology and they're pumping them out fast for profit.. So its kind of like the luck of the draw.. You may get one shipped in that works perfect or may not work perfect. From what I've gathered reading and peoples feedback and reviews on different e-cigs and where you buy them from, plus by using and owning one. Njoy by far has had good reviews. I like mine very much. Keep in mind E-cig smoking is not real cigarette smoking. Don't get your hopes up, but its an awesome alternative IMO. Good luck. Let us know if and when you get one. Your thoughts and experience.

My name is Bob .. and I'm an addict.

Yep, I'm a cigarette smoker who hasn't smoked a cigarette for 252 days now. But I still want one first thing when I wake up each day, at any stressful point during the day, and after finishing the evening meal. I just let the urge pass by e-smoking, or popping in a Swedish snus or Stonewall dissolvable tobacco bit. Morning and night, I'll smoke a real pipe of latakia tobacco.

No way is e-smoking the equal of cigarette smoking. But it has different joys. I can do it anywhere, for instance. Any time. My e-pipe and cigar are always ready (I charge them overnight). I like being asked about them when I go out in public. I like being a "pioneer". I'm even getting to like some of the tastes (but they could be stronger).

Good luck on eventually quitting cigarettes. My body told me when to quit. Coughing into my pillow at night to smother the sound so my wife wouldn't be disturbed. Puhleez. How stupid must I be? A cough is the lung's way of saying, "You just did something that irritated the hell out of me. Don't do it anymore." I finally listened to my own body. And I am feeling much better 8 months after inhaling my last gulp of smoke.

I just went to the njoy website a couple hours ago and bought the starter kit, plus some replacement cartridges. I appreciate very much the coupon you guys posted, and saved 14 bucks. I hope I like it. I went with high cartridges, regular flavored. After I decide whether or not I like vaping I'll try some of the flavored carts. Have you had any problems with any of your products yet?

I just had a thought about a design idea for these. One of my favorite parts of smoking, and one of the things that gives me a craving the most, is the sound. I know you don't always hear it but every once in a while the tip crackles and burns. You hear it more than anything in movies. Those dramatic moments when someone's smoking and the do a close up of their mouth and you hear the cigarette sizzle. Could put a little speaker in the tip behind the light with a sizzling/crackling sound.

haha, I know exactly what your talking about with the crackling sounds. You know what, don't be surprised if you see an MP3 E-cig in the near future.. Hear music as you take a drag :ugeek: Remember, this is the new millenium we'll all be E-jammin with our E-cig while E-riding in our E-crafts. E-Peace ya'll
