Hello Im Bobbie and Im in Chicago, Ive been smoking since 1990 and I need and want to stop. Ive known about ecigs for awhile and came face to face with one last week when my husbands neice showed hers to us and let me use it and I was super impressed and then to find out that it had about 500 pulls which is worth 2 packs of regular cigs I was really impressed. So today I went and purchased my first instantesig and Im loving it the flavor is mint and 25mg of nicotine I think.

Im new to this I do paln on ordering me a starter kit from Cloud9 and I want the vanilia flavored water or cig juice I think they called it LOL, and see how this goes. Im enjoying the ecig and I know this is going to help me quit. :)

Howdy and welcome to ECF.
Ecigs have been a blessing for me and have quit for almost a month now.
You may want to see what type of kits are around before ordering one. Many great people are here and can usually point you in a good direction for kits. Wish I would have came here first before I bought my first kit but oh well, I am off them analogs now.
Have a great day and keep on vaping

Welcome to ECF! Isn't it AWESOME? Being able to vape instead of smoke, and get your nico that way! I love it!!
As for your starter kit....if you HAVE to have a cig look alike, and you like the Cloud9 website, I'd suggest you get the
Elegence starter kit. If you don't have to have a cig look alike, then I'd strongly recommend the Riva starter kit. Why? because the Riva has about twice as many mah's than the Elegence. More mah=more battery life between charges. The Riva will be about the same size as a Sharpe.
The other two starter kits have the same battery, but different delivery devices (tanks), which alot of people have had issues with leaking.

Hi Bobbie and WELCOME! Chicago...my hometown! Sure do miss it. Yes like Vaping Queen said, look into one with a longer battery life before you purchase one. The Riva is like my kgo and has a battery life of 13 hours or so. I vapped on the small cig look a likes for 6 months before jumping in and I wish I had not waited so long. Sure makes life easier. If you do opt for one with a longer battery life, then you start hunting for the perfect cartomizer lol. That can be a real quest along with finding the perfect juice(s). I think that's how this turns into a hobby haha.
Good luck to you and you should be very proud of yourself!

When I started I was confused about the size of devices. One good thing about being in the Chicago area is that there are a couple of brick and motor stores that sell e-cigs and supplies so you can go and actually see them close and personal.

Cigenot is in Elmhurst Cignot ® Retail Locations They sell a varitey of products and flavors. They don't have a fancy website, but sell quality products at good prices and are well regarded nationally.

Another one is Vapor4life in Northbrook Smokeless Vaping Lounge | Vapor4Life

Both places have a "vapor lounge" where you can vape in the store. If you choose a cigarette style unit then you will find that most here recommend the Smokeless Image Volt Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | Wholesale Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarette | Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette One big difference between the Volt and most other cig lookalikes is that they use sealed batteries and the output is regulated to a constant value.
