Just signed up to the forum and wanted to say hi! I have been vaping since January and over the last few months when researching mods etc, I consistantly came accross this forum in Google search results. I have found it to be both informal and informative and rather than just lurk, I decided to sign up. Hopefully I will be able to contribute more as a member once i shed my newbie status!

Welcome to the ECF.

I'm sure you will find Tons of Great Info. And Many Nice People also.

Like I said in my intro, I already have and continue to do so.
Last January, i wound up in hospital for a few weeks and a friend brought me in an Ego e- cigarette as you can't smoke in hospital. Now I used to smoke roll ups ( for around 30 years!) and thought this won't cut it but to my suprise I found it was sufficient to stave off the cravings. So when I got out I decided to stick with it. It didn't really do it for me, not really satisfying, sure it stopped the cravings but was a bit like sucking a golf ball up a hose! So i did some research and went with an SVD and that did the trick and I haven't looked back since. Don't miss cigarettes one bit. But I'm now ready to start on building my own stuff and have some stuff on its way from China as I write this. So looking forward to building some coils and getting into other areas like making my own juice. I'm probably gonna be a pest!

The First Steps is to find Something that works Well Enough to get you off Cigarettes. Sounds like you have done this and it is Working.

From there, the Sky is the Limit. Builds Coils can be as Much of a Hobby as it is a Way to use an e-Cigarette. Because there are Countless Combinations you can Try with Different Ohms, Wire Gauges, Loop Counts, Wick Material, etc.

Be sure to Read Up on Ohms Law and Battery Safety and Specs.
