Hi all,

I'm brand new to e-cigs, just received my eGo-T today. So far so good, it's been about 6 hours since a regular cig. Sure seems confusing with all the options so I'm hoping to learn a thing or two. Also ordered a V2 starter kit today. I figure the cost of both will be offset by what I would spend on cigs through the month and then I might have some better knowledge of what I like and don't. Between both starter kits and a bottle of juice I bought I should be good for the rest of the month.

Anyway, wanted to introduce myself and say hi!

Welcome.

You will get the urge to buy buy buy;
You must resist.
You must resist.
You must resist.

Take your time and you'll save yourself some money.

The important thing is to get away from those smokies; note your tastebuds are going to start changing.

Yes, I've seen a lot of posts where folks have said they've spent more, more, more on accessories and options and the like. What I've bought so far will be it for the month. Even if it takes me a couple of months to figure out exactly what I like I won't be behind money wise. Then I can start saving.

And to all: thank you for the welcome!

Hi and welcome,

I did sort of like you did, only in reverse. I bought a Blu starter kit, tried it for a couple of days, and decided that the e cig concept would work for me to quit smoking. I got very tired of charging the tiny batteries that come with the Blu kit, and went to a local vape shop and got an ego set up and a couple of Pyrex clearomizers, and some juice.

Loving the ego and juice, and I'm going to use the Blu when I go to friend's houses who wouldn't have a clue about vaping. They've seen the commercials on TV, so can understand the e cigarette. The ego set up - not so much. My friends are mostly "old" grandma's like me, and not really up on what's going on in the e cig world.

I am amazed at how painless this process has been so far. I smoked for over 40 years, and I'm not craving a cigarette since I started this.

Good luck and success to you in this adventure, too.

Thank you. I'm not sure what Pyrex clearomizers are.... Any explanation would be helpful!

Thanks!

Sorry, you may have to wait to get the banner until you have 15 (I think) posts.
Settings, Edit Signature.

Hello, and welcome to all new and existing members. I am a new member as of yesterday, though I am a long time reader of the forum. I quit about 6 months ago. I started with a Greensmoke and like the V2, I found that charging it 3 times a day was not for me. Sometimes it would even take about 5 hours to get 40 minutes use on it... so I returned it. With the refund I bought 2 ego C VV kits... one for me, one for the wife. Neither of us have had a "stinkie" since. Very reliable unit.
I was also trying to put up a banner to celebrate.... but could not find the location "signatures" to place it into.

Welcome from another noob. Fortunately the V2 starter kit comes with a "Power V2" that stays plugged in. I'm retired (disabled) and spend most of my time in the house anyway. I think the combination of the eGo-T (which I have two batteries for since two came in the starter pack) and the V2 starter set (Ultimate) should supply all my needs. At least that's what I'm hoping for!

Still no analog cig for 10 hours. Pretty good for me. Still have a desire to go to the window which is where I usually smoke.

I play guitar, and use my computer for recording, learning new songs/techniques and stuff. It was a pain to roll my chair over to the window where I had an exhaust fan running all the time and then back to my computer desk. I could play at either location but I didn't have the benefit of seeing what I'm trying to learn when at the window. Not to mention it's single digits temperature wise here in New Hampshire so my room was cold as all get out. I'm really liking this e-cig concept!

Pyrex is glass, one good example of a "glassomizer" is the ProTanks. Glass is resistant to juices that can crack plastic, and many of us just believe glass toppers taste better. Carto tanks are also available with glass as well as some Rebuildables.

Thank you for the explanation. Much appreciated. All the terms you mentioned I am now familiar with, except rebuildables.
