Gripper advice

Hello

Got a Gripper from mad vapes coming today..I know that it uses long cartomizers....
Holy 9 dollar deal by thee way...

Do I use non punched carts?
Anyone have a favorite cartomizer for it?
And MV says the battery goes in upside down for button tops??? regular for flat top...True?

The punched or slotted cartos are for cartotanks. That is how the liquid from the tank can refill the carto.

Also fact on the battery upside down/right side up thing.

I did use it last night and put the battery in positive up...and it worked fine and everything seemed to fit correctly.
I am not sure I understand why the battery should go positive side down, and if it does, do I change the spring location?

I've had my Gripper for at least a year now. I use an 18350 AW IMR button-top, positive end in first. Not sure why mad vapes has the disclaimer to put the battery in backwards.



I use a Boge LR 45mm (XXL) cartomizer when I go low profile mode. Above is a halfling IBTanked cartotank which uses the shorty cartos which can be found @ IBTanked.

Thanks Baditude, yeah last night it worked fine with an efest 18350 button top, pos+ side up...
A tank from IBtanked is definately on my list.....Have had the cart filled and ready to purchase...just haven't yet.....maybe i will today
it is pretty slick little set up. Thanks for the heads up on this device on other posts.

Possibly the battery upside down thing is to deal with slightly shorter than normal batteries such that putting it in that way makes a better contact. Did you know they have an extension for it? Basically a tube to carry a 510 connector to the top so that you can screw on a large atty like an Aerotank or Nautilus or even a Kayfun.

yes I got the extender...that's what i did last night. I tried it with some shorty cartos and my kfl+ clone and my protank2.

If you get a short 510 extension you can fit xl size cartos. V2 510 Shorty Extension Sealed

I like to use a long barrel bridgeless atomizer 1.5 ohms and drip my juice KP Long Barrel Sealed Atomizer - Kidney Puncher

I like them so much I ordered three new ones for $7 two weeks ago as backup for the one I been using.

i really wanted to buy one of these. the only thing putting me off, is my tendancy for vaping till my battery blinks... these do not indicate anything, and closest i could do was to put a kick in... and these are un kickable..... but these grippers sure look sweet to use, the VV grippers look ugly
