ive just started vaping and i find after a vape i seem to feel a bit groggy or hazy like im sorta stoned.could this be maybe cause im vaping more nic then im used to? im vaping 18mg juice atm but im diluting it down a bit with VG so prolly closer to 15mg. i used to smoke rollies but even when i smoked 16mg analogues i never experienced feeling like this. just strange im feeling a wierd sorta high that ive never experienced from analogues

I had a bit of that to start with. I put down to bits of various things: a bit of over vaping, dehydration, the other chemicals in cigarettes no longer entering my body and also, with all the time I've spent reading up and testing out vaping stuff i've neglected my caffeine addiction and not had my 2 daily large freshly ground coffees because I hadn't placed an order for beans before I ran out.

the sleepies ended for me about 50 days into it. i chalk it up to the fact that your red blood cells are no longer carrying analog friendly toxin's, and stimulants. your body is trying to adjust to the change in chemistry, and metabolism. also for me i find i am sleeping longer, and shockingly no longer wake up in the middle of the night for the multiple trips to the bathroom.keep doing what you are doing. you are just in the throes of detox. it's a good thing.

It could also be slight hyper-ventilation making you light-headed!. I found when I started vaping I`m taking in a lot more air than I normally would when smoking a roll-up! I used to drag hard on the rollies to get a good hit and found I was doing the same on the e-cig. You get a lot more air drag-for-drag from an e-cig than a roll-up so puffing away as normal on an "airy" e-cig might cause that?
I slowed down my drags and learned to draw properly as there is a different technique to vaping rather than smoking.

There are so many symptoms that can be linked to withdrawal OR too much nic OR dehydration, or, or. For me it was hard to decide which. I finally realized that there was one felling that I knew all too well...CRAVINGS. Any lifelong smoker knows THAT feeling. I dropped my nic levels from 24mg to 18mg then 15mg then 12mg and finally after about 6 months to 9mg. My goal was to find the lowest level that kept away the cravings...kind of a balance between jitters and OMG I need a smoke. This, of course, meant that I had to get different strengths of my favorite juices plus straight VG and PG, and learn to do a little mixing. I also found that I was much more susceptible to caffeine (so had to cut back my coffee and switch to decaf).

2. Tendency to assign all new symptoms to e-cigarette use
There is a strong compulsion in many people to assume that all/any new medical symptoms must be related to their new electronic cigarette usage. In 98% of cases these are found to be normal symptoms of tobacco withdrawal which they were unaware of - such symptoms are very wide-ranging and can occur for up to six months.

I had the groggies for about the first month as well... kinda felt like I was in a fog... I tried a 0 NIC juice about halfway into my first month to see if it was over-nic'ing.

Nope, still had the groggies.

Drank tons of water and juice (the real kind, not the one with nicotine in it :p), so despite my coffee addiction, I never really got dehydrated.

The only thing I can attribute the "spaciness and the groggies" to would be detox of the 9,453,867,729,900,000 other chemicals that we used to take into our systems via the stinkies. It eased off for me right at about the 30 day mark, but who knows? Each person's metabolism is different and will purge the crud out at a different rate as well. Some things posted that will help are to definitely drink plenty of fluids. (Gatorade isn't bad, but you'd be better served by juices and water, helps to detox you faster), and to also, like Crxess said, take cleansing breaths. More o2 to the brain is never a bad thing!

Hope that helps, and stick with it, it DOES get better and easier!
