I tried to have a cigarette about two weeks into vaping and had the same results. I lasted two, maybe three drags before I had to get rid of it.
The strange thing is that when I came back to cigarettes after previous failed attempts to quit, I loved the taste. Now it actually does taste like an old ashtray smells.
This has been my precise experience, Panini. I had been at least a 2 PAD smoker for about the last 15 years. In the past, after quitting for a while then eventually succumbing to light one up again, that first analog after a "time off" tasted soooooo good. And of course, with that being the experience, the whole smoking 2 PAD commenced once again.
Now, is a totally different experience. After going a couple weeks or more without an analog, and lighting one up "just to see", my experience is that of how terribly gross and distasteful that analog really is. I toss it after a puff or two. This makes the whole previous process of once again taking on that 2 PAD habit a "fail" for me, and not something I would likely do. I can't wait to get back to my vape.
Remember how we used to go around the house and car or work or wherever, and go on a search and destroy mission to remove all temptation from our presence? I do. Cigarettes, lighters, ashtrays, ANYTHNG that served as a reminder. Now, it's totally different. I deliberately keep a pack of analogs around, and I deliberately light one up (though I really have no desire or craving to) every couple weeks or so. The same thing happens over and over as I toss the analog after a couple drags. This all seems to have acted more as a positive re-enforcement for me to not smoke, as opposed to the old "system" of avoiding lighting up that first one for fear of beginning once again the 2 PAD habit.
