ok so Ive been vaping since I got my V4L stuff yesterday morning... I was curious how my newport cigs tasted now... I took one out of my pack... stared at it a while.... then lit it and took a drag... wierd! then I took one more... GROSS GAG UGH!!! BLA!!! POO!!!! How the heck did I smoke those for 5 years???? now I feel dirty.... Im gonna puff on my vanilla cartos thank you...

I can totally relate. I was a newport light smoker and the first time I vaped I tried to smoke a cig about 5 minutes after and it was the worst thing I ever tasted. I consider it a miracle.

One of the coolest things for me is that if I have to fill out a form, I can now mark it non-smoker. You see a billboard saying, 'quit tobacco' and I can say, "yeah, I did!" It's such a great feeling. tobacco no longer controls me. Of course I do like my 510, but my doctor is happy for me!!!! He almost passed out. :)

Haven't had one since my third day of e-cigs, over 2 months ago. It tasted like burning pavement. All I could think was, what the hell am I doing?! I want to go back inside and puff on some banana! Or maybe some caramel, or maybe.... .... Haven't looked back (aside from looking back in disbelief)

Although I will admit that a freshly lit cigarette does still smell good to me in a very odd way. I think its the actual smoking of it that wouldn't go over so well.

I tried to have a cigarette about two weeks into vaping and had the same results. I lasted two, maybe three drags before I had to get rid of it.

The strange thing is that when I came back to cigarettes after previous failed attempts to quit, I loved the taste. Now it actually does taste like an old ashtray smells.

This has been my precise experience, Panini. I had been at least a 2 PAD smoker for about the last 15 years. In the past, after quitting for a while then eventually succumbing to light one up again, that first analog after a "time off" tasted soooooo good. And of course, with that being the experience, the whole smoking 2 PAD commenced once again.

Now, is a totally different experience. After going a couple weeks or more without an analog, and lighting one up "just to see", my experience is that of how terribly gross and distasteful that analog really is. I toss it after a puff or two. This makes the whole previous process of once again taking on that 2 PAD habit a "fail" for me, and not something I would likely do. I can't wait to get back to my vape.

Remember how we used to go around the house and car or work or wherever, and go on a search and destroy mission to remove all temptation from our presence? I do. Cigarettes, lighters, ashtrays, ANYTHNG that served as a reminder. Now, it's totally different. I deliberately keep a pack of analogs around, and I deliberately light one up (though I really have no desire or craving to) every couple weeks or so. The same thing happens over and over as I toss the analog after a couple drags. This all seems to have acted more as a positive re-enforcement for me to not smoke, as opposed to the old "system" of avoiding lighting up that first one for fear of beginning once again the 2 PAD habit.

I think this is awesome, as the same thing also happened to me. . .

I read about a lot of people who started vaping and were able to simply kick the smoking habit right off the bat -- others were smoking analogs and ecigs for some time.

I have been vaping since August 2nd of this year and have not had an analog cig since about August 9th.

Aside from the nicotine addiction, I also had to deal with the habit of buying analogs when I filled the car up.

Every time I went back to analogs, I noticed how disgusting they tasted . . . it was awful. This served as a constant reminder not to buy another pack of analogs.

Since then, everything has been fine. No analogs and no buying packs of analogs out of habit.

Personally, I think it is the 4000 chemicals you taste that is so disgusting.
