That I post an intro! I signed up a few weeks ago to ask a question, right before I found the answer lol. I have to say thanks to all of you, you're a wonderful source of info even without knowing that you're answering me! I'm Christi Anne, and my last analog was on September 3rd, so I'm almost 4 weeks analog free! I have 4 daughters and will be 30 soon. I smoked on and off for 11 years, this last time being the heaviest at a half pack per day. My husband's really glad I switched too, I even had to give him one of his own batteries! :p

I started off with a $10 disposable from Quiktrip that I couldn't even get working until after I decided to order the mini starter kit from good prophets (I needed to try it cheap, even $30 is a lot for me to spend to try ), at which time I realized I flooded it somehow and blew it out to get it working. Before I even got my mini kit I knew I was going to order the Riva 510, which I did within a few days of receiving my mini kit. I just knew I was going to fry that automatic battery before I got my Riva, I was babying the damn thing . I ordered the Riva 510 from LF, along with some boge cartos, and started making my own VG 0 nic juice within days (I hate waiting for things, so I bought stuff that I could get in stores). LF has great customer service, after placing a big order during Gourmet Vapor's last sale I tried the Caramel Macchiatto juice in my atomizer, fried both Riva batteries and the charger :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm: by flooding the atty and overheating the batteries I guess. They not only replaced my batteries and charger despite the fact that I made a noob mistake, they also replaced the atomizer. No company needs to do that, after all it was my fault, but he was even nice about it! Now let me tell you, the thought of going back to that mini kit was absolute hell, so I went to a local vape shop (Vaporescence) and picked up an Ego-T 1000 mah passthrough battery (and a bottle of strawberry nightshade, yum! It's so nice to be able to go somewhere to try juices). I'm in :wub::wub::wub::wub: with my passthrough! I now let my husband use my Riva Batteries, and this is my all day and night unit. All of the cartos have been bequeathed to my husband as well, I'm in  with dripping on my lr attys now too, I only use LR cartos when driving down the road, else I spend the whole drive just waiting for a red light lol. (It's so funny how when you need to drip all of the lights are green, even when you always manage to hit them on red other times.)

Now I have a question; I see conflicting information about TH in 0 nic juices, Do we get throat hit just from PG or does it need to have nic? I can pick up PG from Tractor Supply here, but I'd have to wait for nic juice (of course, sigh), and I'm running out of my fav nic juices (which I only vape for TH really). I really find myself wanting that TH now, and my pure VG juices are only giving me flavor and vapor (and here I thought I'd prefer the vapor over the TH, shows what I know lol).

Where can I get some nic juice base for cheap? You know, I spent $20 a week on analogs, and so far I've spent ~$300 (shhhh don't tell my husband!) on e-cigs; I'm eyeing some mods too :2cool:. I don't mind getting some recs on cheap mods either :p.

Well, I'm off to stalk my mail person for my new flavors arriving tomorrow from ecigexpress. She delivered my Riva 510 to my neighbors place, even though I had the right address and name on it (thank goodness I saw it before they got home, they wouldn't give it to me if they got there first), so now I avidly watch for her lol. I check the status like every hour :p.

Nicotine does play a part when it comes to TH. I've tried vaping straight Atomic Cinnacide doubler from Tasty Vapor (0 nic juice) and got zero TH from it.

I just got a 2xAA box mod from Madvapes in the mail yesterday and love it. It was $35 for the mod (pre-assembled), two 14500 batteries and Priority shipping. If you don't have a charger you'd need to get one as well. You also get pretty good TH at 3.7v with an LR carto or atty.

2xAA Box Mod with slow change LED and green horn switch (check the sale section for other color buttons)

For the money, it's a good little mod to have. I picked one up just in case my Silver Bullet decides to die on me. I really like it though since it weighs a lot less than the SB and it has an on/off switch. I have a feeling it's going to be my primary mod and the SB is going to be the back up.

I haven't dabbed into DIY juices (yet!) but I woud think that having a variable volt mod would really shine. Not only do you have complete control over vg/pg/nic ratios and combine it with flavors of your choosing but with a viariable volt mod, you can also 'dial in' that perfect setting to make the juice perfect for you.

Might want to consider the classified section. Could save you a little $ if you're eyeing a new mod.

I wouldn't worry TOO MUCH about how much you've spent. Quitting smoking is a life changing experience.. and over time, you'll end up saving more because you quit. Espeically if you're a DIY when it comes to juices.

Here's another thought.. $300 is a lot of money.. but it's pennies comparied to say.. being diagnosed with some medical issue from smoking the stinkies..

Anyways, good luck with your vaping journey :)

Guess I need to order some nic juice now, wish I didn't have to order everything, patience is definitely not MY virtue! Now just to figure out the cheapest source.

BUT... My package of flavorings is here, and I swear when I opened the envelope it smelled like a White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie! My favorite! So I have playthings until I get some nic juice :p

That classifieds section is dangerous! I saw so many things I want! Must. Avoid. The. Urge...
