some more help .......

easy calc
another easy calculator
this thread will tell you everything you ever wanted to know & then some
& have you watched the broke newbie videos she make mixing easy to understand in one of them .

I make all my base first, a little higher MG than the MG I want to achieve ,that way when I add flavorings it dilutes the NICmg down to something usable .
IE: I make big bottles of 18mg ...then when I added flav. it would go down to about 15-16mg ... not quite accurate ...I know but it works for me :D

Cuz... I have a big bottle to work out of & I know that it can't ever be a HIGHER mg than what I started with as a base .
So when I wanna make something ....I just pour in the base amount & flavoring on top of it & wa la done ...

So what you need to do/are doing is figuring out which BASE you need ...IE: 60pg/40vg , 50pg/50vg etc...& the MG you wanna make .
Then you have to figure out the amount of flavoring that works for each flavor you wanna make .

Is your head spinning yet ?? I know,I know I should NEVER try to teach !!

The reason I am babbling on is I think you are NOT understanding the "RATIO" part of DIY ...
(since you omitted the 9 drops, sorry if I am assuming here )

you start with a specif base ...you have 60mg vg ....(dangerous stuff by itself)
& you add other stuff (pg,vg,water, pga, flavoring) to that "to achieve a certain MIX" (pg/vg ratio) &
the amount of "other stuff" you add changes (dilutes) the MG of NIC. more U add=lower the NIC .

I should quit now ...

No Kelleymcm I think you are doing a wonderful job and I thank you very much. I did omit those 9 drops because I was trying to do what someone had said and do all pg first to see how I reacted to that then do the vg the same way...but after it was all said and done I added the vg anyway. I thank you for your help, and now I don't feel like such a tool, just unknowledgable but with some time and lots of mistakes i'll get there one day...or so i hope LOL

Sillybear, I have several bottles of Tastypuff flavoring and haven't been successful in making good juice with them. They're made for flavoring cigarettes (and other smoking substances) and are intended to dry quickly, so they're alcohol-based.

I recommend Capella flavorings for a new DIYer since they're easy to use. Most work fine at 15% strength, or in other words, about 1 part flavor + 6 parts base.

If you're pretty sure you'd like to continue making your own juices, take a look at the 12-flavor multi pack for saving money on an assortment of flavors. These flavors are also good for adding to coffee, yogurt, milkshakes, etc.

I tried to watch those newbie videos but they all said I couldnt view because they are private :(

Earlier this year MistressNomad specifically requested that her videos be closed. I think she was having some health issues, and stopped vaping. However, one of her DIY videos is still available at OneStopDIYShop, and at least it covers some basics.

In my diy experience, I've found that less is more.

I start by making a batch of unflavored at 12mg. (around 30ml at a time) I then parcel it out into 7ml drip bottles (I get them from work for free) then I add single drops of flavor. I really like vaping plain ole unflavored, it has a fresh, sweet almost caramel flavor and cartos and attys will last weeks. But I do like some flavor too. My current favorite mix is Flavor Apprentice's caramel capaccino. I only add ONE drop to 7ml of unflavored and then I add 4 or 5 drops of FA sweet cream. This makes a rich, creamy caramel coffee flavor and I've used it in the same carto for over 2 weeks now and it's still going strong (the carto will be in use for 4 weeks tomorrow with no cleaning!)

When I first started diy, I jumped in with lots of flavor and while I never made anything I thought was bad, it's only recently when I went "simple" that I've found success.

If all else fails, start from the bottom (unflavored) and work your way up. Once I tried unflavored, and found what it tastes like (and that I like it) I then had a better understanding of what I could add to it.

caution!! If anyone decides to try the FA caramel capaccino, ONE... O. N. E. drop is all you need! This is some potent stuff and adding more than one drop to less than 10ml will probably taste awful! It can always be diluted though.

Sorry to hear she may be ill. She is very sweet. I went looking for her videos to send them to a friend and came up empty. Hope it has nothing to do with vaping.
