I am thinking about picking up a few mini-blems. I know nothing about a 18350 or 18490 battery.

Do these batteries contain enough power to vape much before they need recharging?

Is there much difference between an 18350 and 18490 in term of vape time?

Am I going to be disappointed in the mini after using my regular sized 2.5 with the 18650 battery?

Personally, a mini is great with the extension cap. Without, I would always go regular size 2.5. I have minis, but I would never take one out for the day/night with a single 18350.

If I am on con calls all day in my home office, there is zero chance I will get thru the day with a single 18350. I am safe with a 18490/18500 and a 18650 is never a worry (but I hate the form factor of such a long tube mod).

Benefits of a mini in 18350 mode? Size. Also, an 18350 battery charges much faster than an 18650.

Personal preference in any case.

BTW, I always vape at 4.8v-ish, which is pretty high in the +ohm world.

Whenever I leave the house, I always take extras with me in a battery case. And, I have a charger in the car for emergencies!

ROUGH ESTIMATE, depends on ohms you vape at, etc.:

650mah (Ego enclosed/ego stick battery) about 4 hours

14500 @ 600 about 4 hours

18350 @800mah= aprox 5-6 hours vape time
18490 @ 1100 about 6-8 hours
18650 @ 1600 about 8-12 hours
18650 @ 2000mah about 12-16 hours but discharges quicker than the 1600mAH

This might be a little outdated since AW updated their batteries since I made this up. This was based on MY vaping style, with an over the counter clearomizer with OTC coils. :) But this document should get you in the "ballpark". Estimate downward if in doubt i.e. 6-8 hours figure on 6. :) Unless you are truly a tootle puffer.

Am I the only one that prefers the full size 2.5 over the Mini? The Mini is almost too small and I prefer 18500/18650 batteries.

Not dissing the Mini as I use a Satin Steel Mini a lot and have a red/black Mini on order, but I just have a preference for the full size.

Anyone else?

P.s. My order for 3 x 2.5 blems hasn't shipped and I placed my order Monday. I am in no rush as it is being shipped to a hotel I am staying at the week after next, but still.... almost a week to ship a $100 order? Seems a tad long.
I used to prefer them in 18650 mode. That's all I use around the house.

But, since working in a place that allows vaping while working, I notice I started feeling uncomfortable using such a long mod in front of non-vapers. So, now I only use either a Mini (18350) or a Mini with extension (18490) while at work. Mostly just the Mini.

I just carry extra batteries. Luckily, being female I carry a purse. So, no problem carrying backups.

AS many previously have said; they don't last very long in the stock config. However the extension Caps and 18500 Battery do the Trick also. Or you could always carry an 18350 in your pocket.

I like the mini. The thing is, you need to stay on top of your batteries over time. When new the run time is pretty decent, and two 18350's can be easily pocketed in a single 18650 plastic case. So with three 18350's you got about 2400 Mah of run time in your pocket. Yes, you will need to change the battery a couple times in a day. But how many times do you raise the mod to your lips and hit on it in a day? I much prefer the form factor of a tube in 18350 mode, because the entire body of the tube is concealed in my hand only revealing the atomizer. The weight is greatly reduced for those hundreds of puffs, and the relative inconvenience of changing the batteries a couple times a day is more than offset by the net gains in actual user pleasure in my mind. Since transitioning from an 18650 user to a mostly 18350 user, there is no going back for me. If I want to vape an 18650 device, it is my Radius or "other" device. (see location;))

I really couldn't have said it better myself.

I bought some drill bit cases from McMaster-Carr, and with a small slice of some foam between them, I can carry two 18350 batteries in my pocket, without fear of them touching each other, or things in my pocket.

Bingo.

My shiny silver P3 looks idiotic in 18650 mode. Seriously. I ain't going out in public with that thing.

I don't really care what people think, but my Radius or SX Mini is so much more "normal" looking if I need to vape with an 18650 battery. And I can say that as an owner of 2 Classics, 2 P3's and 4 (soon to be 7) 2.5's.

Funny, Dale, but that's EXACTLY what I had thought too! ;)
For a helluva long time, red wasn't even available....even when I was willing to part with $179.99. Then on the off chance it would be, I'd end up buying something else I'd been wanting.

    My current ProVari count:
    Mini (3)
    White / Red led
    White / Blue LED
    Blue / Blue LED
White-Pink / Red LED (this one I bought as a Valentine gift)

    Standard (1)
    White / Green LED

Oh & 1 Ghost White Radius

With all the ProVari purchases all of us have made, ProVape should offer every 5th one free!!! Yea I said it!!! ;)
