I'm thinking liquidation and re-investment. There were two product names Trade marked by ProVape that @FringeChief68 brought to our attention back during the guessing game times. I think they are up to something.
PROCYON Trademark Application of ProVape Incorporated - Serial Number 86753146 :: Justia Trademarks
PREVEON Trademark Application of ProVape Incorporated - Serial Number 86753133 :: Justia Trademarks

I am dejavuing on this being brought up a year or so back ???

Considering these units were priced at what, aprox. 180$ a year or so ago, maybe they can be making a squeaky profit at 60$, I'd be willing to bet Apples to donuts that at 30$ they are basically giving them away, probably at a loss.

Raw materials, machining, tooling, man hours, rent taxes, electric, storage costs for parts, assembly...Nah, ProVape is throwing a good bye party for the 2.5. We are the happy guests who got in on it.

Uh huh!!!

Is that what you wanted, chili? Both the Blue Lagoon and the Sangria?

Well......I vowed not to buy another one! I already bought four! I also swore that I would not look at what was still available! I just had a moment of weakness! I really don't need more!

My US business travel stops for a few months, so due to high shipping costs to Canada and taxes, I am gonna be stalled at ONLY 7 2.5's. An even dozen ProVape devices.

More than enough!
 How can one LIVE with Only a dozen ProVape devices?!?
You prolly set for a while BreSha :)

Yup. I am set!

I just spent 8 days away with my Radius and 3 new 2.5's and I am totally happy vaping those all day.

Did you take any extra batteries for those 2.5's? I assume you brought a charger with you. I have a trip coming up next weekend and am trying to decide what to bring...

-- there are only 4 colors/finishes of mini's on the Special's page right now.

I bet I looked at the GMZ mini five or six times and actually had it in my basket three or four. Now they're gone.

I really like the size since I have been using 18350 batteries even on my P3s, but also really don't like the teardrop thing.

There may be a method to Pro Vape's marketing, but after buying 2 2.5s at the "closeout" price of $49.95 I felt a bit burned when they went to $29.95. And buying the gold zencote before they were throwing in an extension was another reason for me to be a bit jaded. But hey, maybe that's just my bad sense of timing.

Raising the flat top option to 2.5x (then back to 2X) the standard price didn't help either. Throw in the "going, going, gone" but then a restock of 100 units also.

While I commend Pro Vape on their deep price cuts, they have me so confused I'm not sure I'd get a GMZ mini if they once again appear.

And to complicate things further, I like the P3 better than the 2.5 but am wondering if it's next to receive the closeout pricing. Has Pro Vape ever specifically addressed if the Radius was a replacement to the line or an addition?

First I'm sure the Radius is just an addition. The p3 I think is still priced higher than the Radius? And I think Provape will always keep a tube in their lineup.

I look for the next new thing from ProVape to be an updated tube mod (i.e. P4..?)

And I didn't realize GMZ minis were finally gone. Sad day. Haha. I have 2 of them myself though! One with p3 thread and one with the slant top. The slant top is arriving TODAY and I took off work today, so I can't wait!

I would be surprised if the P3 was closed out/heavily discounted before the Classic. Just my $0.02.

The Radius was a brand new product launch IIRC, not a replacement.

There are just a few things I wanna tap on here- I think people (not you personally- in general) keep forgetting that for an extremely long time, the price was $179.99 so for them to now be under $50 is a win no matter how you slice it. To be upset that the price dropped a bit more and this in only my opinion is nuts. If ProVape wanted to, they could've offered them at the low low price of $100 & many would still see that as a bargain while others wouldn't.

"buying the gold zencote before they were throwing in an extension".....Someone jump in here cause I don't recall the Gold Zencoat never not having the extension included. That was the main perk to buying it- you got everything.

As far as the top cap changing price, if you felt that strongly about it, you could've reached out via a ticket. Chances are 50/50 you may have gotten the price difference reimbursed back to you.

You used closeout & going going gone but it wasn't until very recently we learned the 2.5 line was being discontinued yet based on your complaints your purchases were made before this became news to us.

And again, this is my opinion, but in terms of ProVape's product cycle, the P3 is still fairly new so I can't imagine it's on the hit list for discontiuance.

GG, dont waste time on feeling jaded. You'd be surprised how many people around here have bad timing. If not for nothing, ProVape is still selling 2.5's until they're not. If a GMZ turns up again, grab it so you dont kick yourself later for letting it slip by again & in the meantime, enjoy your 'Vari/s!!!!

Turn that frown upside down!!!!

Lex, I completely understand your viewpoints and appreciate the thoughtful reply.

At this time in my life, for better or worse, vaping is about my only hobby and indulgence. Yes, there's no doubt that considering the original price of the 2.5, the present pricing is extremely good. But I can't help being the type that doesn't like to feel as if I'm wasting money. No, not wasting money on a Provari because they have great value; it's more on the lines of spending more for something than I have to. I'm guessing a lot of people share that opinion since there are so many successful companies with price guarantees which address the same problem. And no, I'm not suggesting that Pro Vape is lax in not having such a policy.

As for the goldkote extension, I positively did not receive one. But thinking back, I might have bought the mod from the regular department and not the specials department. Even though it was not on the specials page, it was still priced at $49.95 just like the blems and I'm thinking that the other non-blems were priced at $99.95 at that time. So, if I wanted to get the same thing as what is now being sold, I would have paid $69 instead of $29. See my previous paragraph for why that is a bad thing for me. <g>

And again, I'm old school enough that if I think the price is fair, I pay it. If not, I pass. Though I have contacted support various times in the past, I would not be comfortable imposing on their great customer service to try and get a flat top conversion posted price reduced just because I didn't like it.

Here is a crack up. I sent in my 1st GMZ Mini in for repair before they sold out of the Blemished.

Received word from Provape it will be $25.00 to repair it. This is twice now for the fire button to go wonky.

I am really not sure that I will get it repaired now.

Could continue to stalk the Specials page [emoji3]
