thanks for the tips, will look out for some 30awg wire when visiting bolehland.
i don't know what wick i got, i just bought what ever the shop recommended.
maybe i should switch to cotton?

BTW: any shops selling wire locally?

Cotton may work, but in the case of TF (GT) and 12coils, it might be tricky to balance not choking the wick at coils, and not causing gurgle from insufficient blocking of the two side openings. You could experiment with building a slightly bigger coil (perhaps +0.1-0.2mm depending on available material) and lesser coil (perhaps -1), with same amount of silica wick to see if taste gets muted as much.

I would advice against any daredevil experiments until you get the proper ohm meter though. :D

I saw one at Daiso, but not sure whether good or not cos I already got one before I saw it. :p

If not, u can try those hardware stores...very common item. :)
Its a good thing electronic supplies are innocent.

Edit: almost forgot, might want to get some 32awg also, it's frequently used in video reviews (such as todd's). That's the 0.2mm kanthal they are referring to.

I dont have a multimeter YET.
According to a app i download, 26 AWG 2.5 mm coils and 12 wraps = about 1.5 ohms

you guys think its the juice?

You living very dangerously bro.
Rule of thumb no multimeter no rebuildable. You're not risking yourself but those around you and the entire vape community if something bad actually happens.

In case anyone wonders what's the big deal with some of us preaching so strongly about safety, please take a couple of minutes to read this.

Nothing grinds my gear more.

In any case, back to the topic. I know a lot of people have mentioned stuff like using too much heat. That's def worth considering. There are also comments about using too much wick and choking the coil, although that's more likely to cause dry hits than gunking.

Then there's also the case when some juice are inherently gunky as hell. Many of the NETs, juice with a lot of solid particulates (Boba's bounty and gorilla juice), very high sucrose/sugar content all gunk up like a beeedtch.

My wake n vape from epic juice (sweet thick liquid) junks up my coils halfway through my kayfun no matter how I wick or build it. Even on a dripper I gotta swap out and dry burn frequently.
