All right, mixed up two batches. One of the Gunpowder, which is more like a Gunstock now that I think about it on account of the Oak flavoring, and the Gunfire helpfully suggested by sophie.
Recipes are as follows:
3.3 ml 36mg nic for both
.7 vg for both
2 drops Magic Mask for both
2 drops Vape Wizard for both
And for kicks, I decided to try out 2 drops of Bitter Wizard in both
For the Gunstock:
8 drops perique black
12 drops Oak wood
2 drops Maple (from MadVapes)
2 drops Honey
For the Gunfire:
7 drops Perique Black
5 drops Cold Vapor Additive (from Sweet Vapes)
14 drops Cinnamon Ceylon, since that's the only cinnamon I have on hand.
The results so far after a brief test on a 4 ohm 306 atomizer are that the Gunstock recipe has some interesting character thanks to the little bit of maple, but the flavoring could be stronger. The Gunfire is actually pretty good, Perique and Menthol go well. Didn't taste the Cinnamon through it though, which is why I bumped it from 10 to 14 drops. Also need to let these two sit for at least a few days before I come back to them again for a second test. I think the Gunstock will get much stronger once the Oak and Perique probably marry, and the Cinnamon in the Gunfire recipe probably needs time to properly bloom in the liquid. So far, some pretty promising results. This is my first crack at trying to come up with my own "line" of recipes, and I have to say Perique Black makes a great base for it. As long as you like Perique, anyway. I know it's not for everyone.
Now I just need to come up with what a proper "Gunpowder" and "Gunmetal" recipe would be and I'll be set on my 5 flavors to develop. Hopefully I don't get sick of Perique by the time I figure it all out.
I'm thinking Perique, Earl Grey Tea, and possibly a hint of pear for the Gunmetal. The Gunpowder, in hindsight, leaves me scratching my head. Perique, cocoa and coffee? Coffee juices are a little difficult to do without the coffee overwhelming everything else on the palette, at least for me.
