Q, who was complaing about the switch, I never had a problem with mine and found them to be the best bottom button out there as of right now. I dont know why they felt it necessary to change it.

Dspin, I appreciate the response, simple and straightforward. Those were pretty much my reasons for considering the top cap with no adjustable air flow. At the time of placing my order that particular mod was not available though.

Mechm0djunky, I bought the Lord with the AFC for no other reason than I think it looks better with it.
Same and to me the cost was negligible, had I not liked the look of the AFC cap I would have bought it without because I probably will not be needing the AFC.
I LOVE the GUS switch. I have one of the other "Best Switch in the Business" mods. I really, really like that mod. I like my GUS and GUS switches better.

I never accidentally fire my GUS mods, NEVER. They fire from anywhere on the button, same as my other best switch mods.
No one was complaining D, Gus just went ahead on their own as part of their usual/periodic renovations.
I too got my Lord with the AFC Topcap b'coz I thought it looked / matched better.
I'm with dspin on this one, I got mine W/O AFC because it was unnecessary and saved me a few greenbacks. Should be at the house today, in fact, fresh from Greece!
Mouser has the SMD 458 series in all variants in stock. They did a few weeks ago anyways.
My only issue with the Lord is that my locking ring tends to stick so I am looking fwd to the new switch.
That clone looks and sounds like a train wreck.
Cloners really should think before they try to clone a Gus or a GP.
I'm glad I ordered one with the AFC, the look has definitely grown on me, and I guess if I ever wanted the other top cap I'll just order it. Seeing that I've heard so many good things about the current switch, I'm excited to see this new one, especially if it's an upgrade. Now if I can just figure out which rbta to order and pair with this mod. Another great thing about this mod, is that everything looks good on it.
If you had to pick one, is the Gus Lord more of a matte finish or a shiny/ polished look? I haven't really seen a definitive answer on this, maybe there's not one, and that's my deciding factor right now when selecting a new tank atomizer. I absolutely cannot wait for my Lord to arrive.

There are Three finishes on my Gus Lord.
The section with the cross hatching is brushed. the top is polished as is the button ring. And then there are the brass accent rings. The cross hatched section goes well with matte as well as brushed finished toppers.
Honestly everything looks good on the Gus because of the different finishes.

Well… the Estia is a little too expensive for me right now. My fiance has me on a pretty tight leash after finding out I already spent about $650 on vape gear this month. I own a few kayfuns, russian, and taifun gt. A buddy of mine is trying to sell me an authentic fogger v4 or an authentic prometey 2 for less than half the price of the Estia. I have never used either one , what are your thoughts on those? When it comes to looks, that titanium prometey is stunning.
On a side note, right now while typing this post, I receive an email from Gus Mods updating me that my Lord has been shipped. Whoohoo, I can't wait!

Yeah, my fiance said I need Mech Mods Anonymous. The funny thing is, she is starting to know the lingo as well. It won't be long before she is wrapped up in this hobby too. Yesterday I came home and she was on the couch with one of my mods, first time I've ever seen her not vaping her mig cig.
I do have quite a few drippers including the magma and quasar that you posted. I'm looking particularly for a tank atomizer. I'm really leaning towards the Prometey v2. There is a guy in this thread that posted a picture of six of his mods, and every one of them had this tank on it. Maybe someone that owns the prometey will chime in and give a brief comparison between this tank and a kayfun style tank.
The Aqua tank has also peaked my interest, and how amazing it looks on the Gus Lord is almost enough justification for me to buy it.
