Hacking Cough

So for the last week I have had a horrible cough. Sometimes I cough so much that I irritate my Gag reflex and throw up. There is a flue going around but I'm coughing so bad that I can't even vape. It's almost like suddenly it feels like fire going down my throat and make me cough even harder. And when I say cough harder I mean literally the minute the vapor touches my throat I start hacking and wheezing. And this is on pure VG unflavored base with 6%nic content. It's the same juice I've been vaping fine with for the last two months and I was the one who made it. I just got a plume viel today and can't even enjoy it. I have been vaping for over a year now and this only happens when I'm sick like this. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how do you handle it?

I've been sick for the last 9 days. Hacking cough, sinus issues. It's definitely going around. I didn't vape at all for several days, and then started vaping without inhaling until I started to feel good enough to vape again. I'm finally feeling better now, and I hope you feel better soon!

Sounds like you need to put the vape down until the cough settles......hope you feel better soon!!

Yeah being sick, especially involving your lungs/nose and vaping...I find that really doesn't work well. That was my whole coughing problem, I was sick and hadn't 'discovered' it yet.

Yep, for a couple of months I was coughing much more than usual. Finally got to feeling so bad I went to the doctor. Turns out I had a sinus and ear infection. Doc said they had seen a lot of those cases. Got some amoxicillin and am doing much better now. You should go to the doctor.

Go to doctor, make sure it is not respiratory infection (which won't go away on it's own unless it's viral).

If you need nicotine you can always suck on nic lozenges or gum and/or "patch it" for a week or so.
