For going on a month now and I'm wondering if it could be related to vaping? As I posted a week or so ago, I went to the docs for my yearly ENT throat scope (I have acid reflux and was also being checked yearly since I smoked) and I also had a chest x-ray and everything looked great, even improved so the docs assume the cough is not being caused by anything chest related or throat related. They gave me an antibiotic because they said I had a sinus infection and I've been done taking the medication for almost a week now but there has been no change, the cough continues...it's like a annoying cough that comes out of nowhere and if I don't cough I would gag which would force me to cough, sometimes I've even woken up in the night having to cough and I can't figure out what is causing it...I've also been having a dry/scratchy throat as well which seems to trigger the coughs.

I have vaped for over 2 years now and never had this issue, now all of a sudden it started out of nowhere (about the same time I started sleeping the windows open at night with the cool air) so I assumed it was because of that but it's been too long now. I vape about 6 plus ML's of juice a day, sometimes heavy vg juice sometimes lighter vg juice, I have never kept myself hydrated as suggested to do when vaping, it's a habit of mine in general...I'm always dehydrated.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'm going back to my primary tomorrow to discuss with her and see if she has any other ideas but I guess it's a good thing the chest x-ray and throat scope was good, but I'm kinda nervous as to what is causing it. I do notice that when I take a good drag on my ecig sometimes it makes me gag/cough...I've never had this issue either until just recently so do you think I'm just vaping too much? I use to vape around 3ML a day but I've become a tad addicted to constantly doing it now so I have dramatically increased my usage.

Thanks!

P.S. It's pretty much a dry cough, I don't cough anything up but saliva, when I spit in the sink it's clear.

I do think vapor can aggravate an already irritated throat, but I doubt it's a cause. You may just be experiencing seasonal allergies. My husband (who doesn't smoke or vape) and I (a vaper) both have issues with a dry throat/cough thing and clearing our throats, particularly at this time of year. The doctor said it was allergies and prescribed a steroidal nasal spray. That doesn't solve it, but it does help. I generally deal with throaty, coughy, sinusy issues every fall. Once winter sets in, it gets better... until spring.
