I got my starter kit around a month and half ago from halo. I was using one of the batterys today and it suddenly stopped working, I put it on the charger thinking it was dead, the charger lights came on and it charged fully. I just tried to use it and it won't turn on at all, no matter how many times I click the button. Any ideas?

On a side note, I ordered a 30ml of Turkish tobacco (love it), and I've noticed it's lighter then the smaller sample bottles I've used (from halo and a local b&m store), it tastes a little different also, is this normal?

Does the charger have a solid blue light?

Does the button fire on when pressed? It's 5-8 rapid clicks on.

Color and throat hit can vary based on nicotine content. The flavor however, should not.

It had a red light to say it was charging then blue to be fully charged. Nothing happens when clicked 5-8 times. Could the battery be dead after almost two months?

Well I got the same nicotine strength all three times, and this is the first time I got a big bottle. I'm attaching a picture of color difference, the smaller portion is what it's looked like the past two times, the one on the right is the new big bottle. The one on the left is usually darker but it has some water in it since I wanted to rinse it out and compare. uploadfromtaptalk1399270487055.jpg

If the light on the battery will not turn on after a successful charge, no matter how many rapid clicks you give it, the warranty is 60 days.

I don't know how old the ejuice is in the tank is on the left. Dark ejuice is caused by unvapable compounds that build up on the wicks causing black spots which leach back into the ejuice in the tank, decreasing flavor and causing the ejuice to darken. There is no way around this. Some flavors are far more forgiving than others.

Halo never mentions this or the fact that proper cleaning and maintenance is necessary and unavoidable. New vapors be dammed.

Cleaning is a whole 'nother subject which you can find plenty of information on here with a search.

I guess I need to contact halo about the warranty?

The juice on the left is new, just came out of the sample bottle. In a clean tank, the one on the right is clean also just came out of the 30ml bottle, Turkish always seemed to have a reddish tint to it, the juice in the 30ml looks like tribeca to me, but tastes like Turkish.....but at the same time it dosent.

Julian I agree with everyone here. Contact Halo about your battery since it is still under warranty. Halo juices purchased at a B&M and the samples are usually steeped longer than the bottle you received from Halo. Just shake it regualrly and in a couple of weeks I'm sure it will be the same color as the others. :)

And just FYI sometimes if demand for a certain flavor is high they may pull the batch sooner so it will need a even longer steep. I believe Cinder Ella has said they steep them for 2 weeks normally before shipping. :)

Ok, not sure if this will help at all but for what it's worth (and if anyone reads this). I just had a similar issue happen to me today. My VV blue light blinked saying it needed charging. I could not vape with it.

I put it on the charger and the charger light went solid blue light...ok odd, fully chargedin like a half second??? Hhmmmm...put a tank back on the batt..it started blinking again and would not let me vape. (Possibly different than yours cuz I think you said completely dead, no lights/blinking?)

After several times trying to charge (solid blue light on charger) and trying a tank/vaping (blinking lights again and tried tons of different tanks to make sure it wasn't a tank issue) I knew something was up with the VV which I got in Jan. I looked at the connector pin to make sure it was pushed in accidentally which it wasn't.

BUT, I did see a few "globs" of very tiny dried juice. I lightly scrapped it clean with my nail and BOOM, it blew up. Ok joking...ok, bad joke. I put it back on the charger and BINGO...it started charging like normal. So, for future reference to anyone else out there, check the top of the batt and see if any gunk drip and dried on it. Lightly scrape it or clean it and it should work.

AngiBe, The charger goes solid blue when you plug it into a USB port without a battery. So, the battery just wasn't making contact with the charger.

By top, I'll guess you mean the center post. Yes, this must be absolutely shiny clean. If not, no contact, no charge, no vape!

Evie Luv says to clean the battery tops with Isopropyl Alcohol with a Q tip before charging. And I like to get a drinking straw with a paper towel and clean the "moat" between the center pin and the top threading. If accumulated dried juice conducts any electricity, the battery will sense a short.

With all the vaping gear, it all has to remain as clean as possible.

AngiBe, glad the nails came in handy...

Yes it was the top of the center post and I didn't have anything handy to clean the sides. I was going to mention Isopropyl Alcohol but....I recommend 99% and it's hard to find. Anything else has more water and water in a batt is not a good thing. 99% with a long Qtip works great, cleans nicely and evaporates quickly but..

My finger nail is all I had at my office and it worked too ;) I think the gunk was from Belgian cuz it's just a funky jooz. Look what it did to Wheez's brain!

True, water in a battery is death. But...

We aren't immersing the bat, just cleaning the top. And (other than automatic G6), the top is sealed quite well. As long as NO liquid gets near the button (the circuit board is directly behind it) or the seam to the body, you should be fine. Even water would work, although distilled is always better.

And good point about the isoprolyl alcohol, to try to get it in the highest concentration, given the choice. But 70% would work as well. And I wouldn't bet that 99% is safe on a battery.

These devices aren't engineered as fluid resistant as the Royal Wands. Hitachi makes top notch equipment. (or center notch? :p)
