Since that "secret chocolate note" thread is closed, and I promised to update there with any progress, I'll add mine here.

Back in sept 2013, Proverb31 posted in that thread his/her recipe for a Halo Belgian Cocoa clone. It went like this:
5% FA Cocoa
3% FA chocolate
.75% FA dark vapor
(sweetened with 2% sucralose sweetener by TFA)

I got FlavourArt Dark Vapure and experimented, but that flavor is SO rank, I quit quickly.

Now I know more about mixing and FlavourArt in particular. Proverb31 nailed the flavoring, but the percentages he/she used lent wayyy too much of that dirty foot locker-room smell to match my bottle of Halo.

So here's my version, with total credit and thank-you to Proverb31 for cracking the code ;)

-->HALO BELGIAN COCOA CLONE
Mix a 5ml batch of FA Cocoa at 8%.
Shake the bottle of Dark Vapure flavoring, hold your breath :) and open it.
Dip the end of a toothpick in the DV. Swirl that through the Cocoa mix.
Close it, shake it extra well. done.

Belgian Cocoa itself at 8% is a pretty close match. If you're a Belgian Cocoa fan and you haven't tried it, try it plain first (actually tastes and smells more pleasant that way). Dark Vapure adds the unpleasant-to-spectators vapor - if you vape Belgian Cocoa, you might know what I mean - and the extra flavor note of Halo that some love, some hate. DV is so strong though, it has to be an extremely tiny addition. I've verified the vapor smell with a side-by-side vape of Halo and this clone in the presence of non-vapers.

I hope other DIYers who want a BC clone will post back with their impressions for later vapers' future reference.
