It isnt just about the PG and VG, but also about the flavoring used. Those flavoring agents leave residue behind as the tank gets vaped.

normal rule of thumb, the darker the juice, the more "sludge" it leaves behind.

Are you comparing a very "clear" other brand juice to darker/colored halo juices?

Also, dont discount ambient temperature, a 10F difference in the ambient temp, can really change the viscosity of the VG/PG, in regards to it seeming to be thinner.

Just things to consider.

Keep in mind that the opacity of the ejuice is a fair indicator of how much it is likely to gunk up your wicks/coils. Darker blends carry more particulates which deposit on the coils/wicks than clearer blends.

This is not necessarily a "good-bad" thing, just the nature of how flavors are blended. Although higher VG concentrations can wick slower to be sure, I find the color of the ejuice to be a better indicator of how tough it will be on the coils.
