Halo Expiration

I like to track my steeping times using a spreadsheet, but I've run into a little problem. After ordering a sample of Kringle's Curse with my last order, I noticed it has an expiration of 7/26/2013. I assumed the dates were 1 year following the date of creation, but this is obviously not the case. Can anyone explain to me how to determine the mixing date?

My thought is that the date is a year from when it was made. It was probably a typo on the label.

Kringle's Curse is a mystery, indeed. It was made in the future and sent back in time to me! Must be why it tastes so awesome!
