I started with the G6 for about 4 months before I moved on to the Triton. In the beginning I needed the cig-a-like feel of the G6 battery. It helped me mentally as it felt closer to a cig for me. Also the ritual of refilling my cartos and charging my batteries everynight helped me focus on vaping instead of letting any cravings get to me.:) Well really it wasn't cravings but habits. Everyone has "habits" with their cigarettes they have to break.:D

Heya Javamon!

After I did a bit of reading about e-cigs and decided it was time I quit smoking, I jumped right in with the G6 and love it! For me, it's a perfect match -- I prefer the automatic batteries and the overall size and look of the complete unit.

The lovely people here on ECF are such a wonderful resource too ...very nice and marvelously helpful. IMHO, you couldn't have a better set-up -- a really nice e-cig system, and a great place to come talk about it all.

Thanks. It's just a matter of time. I have to slow down because financially it all adds up. But, from the ton of reading I have done, I do believe this is where I will land. I don't want something big, and I don't need the biggest, best vapor plume on the planet. What I need is simplicity in a very small package.

Why don't you folks consider pricing Singles to get people into the fold. Rather than the entire starter kit, how about
- 1 battery, 1 cartomizer, 1 USB charger for 15.99
- 1 battery, 1 cartomizer for 11.99

Just to throw it out there....I bought the G6 to start with and jumped to the Tritons and VV Tritons very quickly after that (within the first month). I'm happy to say ALL my batts from Halo (my little bro now has the G6 kit) still work and I have been smoke free for as long as my banner says! Over a year but not sure how many days anymore.

Long story short...well worth the investment!!

Aren't the Tritons much larger than the G6's?

it's aboot perspective.

the Tritons are much larger, but seeing as the G6's are pretty small, the Tritons still aren't that big. plus, even the smallest Triton battery has almost double the charge of the full size G6 battery. and carto's and mini-tanks that work on the G6 also fit on the Triton.

i use my Triton at home, but i do have a carrying case and use G6's when i'm out and about. the case fits in any pocket and most police miss it during a pat down. nuthin like an overnight in the drunk tank with my favorite flavor joos!!!

Hmmm. Looks like it already does exist. Only under another label.
SI Volt Basic: 13.95.

the smallest Triton battery is smaller than a bic lighter. I was actually extremely surprised in the size compared to what I was expecting. That plus a Triton tank and I can fit the entire thing in my closed hand except a tiny bit of the mouthpiece. And, you will definitely want more than one battery and carto/ mini tank or whatever you are getting. Especially if you get the G6. I promise it is worth the extra money to have them on hand already

The Triton is larger than the G6 for sure, but even though the VV Triton is bigger than the normal Triton, it's worth the investment, and I'm pretty sure it's smaller than my 510 VW battery even though they have equivalent 900 mAh. The other day I pulled out one of my 650 mAh Tritons from my starter kit because I haven't used them in a while and forgot how small they are. I think the 650 mAh + tank is about the same length or shorter than most Bic pens.

edit: for what it's worth

when i first started out, i asked the same advice. A lot of people spoke about skipping the G6 and go right for a Triton. I thought I would be happy and would stick with the G6 for awhile.... i ended up getting the Triton in about a month and havnt touched the G6 since.
As far as thin cigalikes go, the G6 with a mini tank was great. But I found out that the 78mm batteries didnt last me as long as I wouldve liked. And the mini tanks would go empty fast, leading to either carrying extra tanks or extra bottles with me.

Actually, unless I see some other showstopper, I have moved my choice over to - Smokeless Image / Volt.
They are packaged/sold in smaller kits that will work better for me - and for the people I will want to give it to.
[The smokers in my life still holding out.]

The Halo folks need to package their G6 materials in a similar way.
