Fairly new to vaping and really like it ... most of the time.

I really like the Halo G6 with the mini tank BUT - no matter what I do (and I'm sure that I'm not overfilling them), they start popping and pop e liquid into my mouth. I have checked the drip tip and also sure I'm not dripping e liquid into the center post. I am using Halo liquid - really like the Malibu.

I'm figuring this is user error but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've been keeping about 3ml of liquid in the mini tank because if I get more in there the popping is worse.

Any suggestions for the experienced vapors out there? Thanks for your suggestions!

They are, I just checked the Halo site to see what tank this is. It is a simple disposable clearomizer, you may find some last a few days and others may last a few weeks. Whenever you get to the point where performance is failing (low vapor production, flavor and definitely spitting ejuice) its time to switch to a new one.

You can get other clearos that have a replaceable coil (the heating element) instead of replacing the entire tank if you prefer. ]

You should definitely be cleaning your tanks frequently as this will prevent gunk and prolong their life :) This should help Halo clearomizer cleaning tutorial (Triton Tank and Mini Tank) - YouTube

I'm a little confused...Halo mini tanks only hold a little less than 1ml, but you said you're putting 3ml in it? Their larger Triton system has a tank that hold 2ml, and those do have replaceable coils. The minis are meant to be used awhile then thrown away. I started vaping with those a long time ago, and I haven't used them in a long while, but I never had the issues you're describing. You may just have gotten a bad tank.

I think you meant .3 ml. I also am using the G6 with the mini tank and I have to say I haven't had that problem. It's probably just a bad clearo, happens every once in a while. Most likely the seal isn't very tight. However it sounds like this has happened on more than one... One thing I always do is take a paper towel and make sure I wipe everything off before putting the tip back on, including the center post and everything around it. Maybe that will help.. Also, I recently bought some kanger e-smart clearos and I haven't had the popping problem yet, but I've only had them a couple of days so who knows.

It's really new - I've only had it a week. Washed it out once because I tried an e juice that I didn't like. I actually thought that might be the problem - cleaning it. I wonder if these are supposed to be disposable or something.

They are "disposable" but you can still clean them. Just make sure you let them dry completely before loading up again. I let mine sit overnight.

Hi. Maybe the popping is from water from cleaning it? After I rinse mine and soak them, I tap them to get as much water out as possible. Then let them sit for a while. Like a day. Then another tap; I sometimes get another drop out.

(added) You might after the rinse and dry, try a few quick 2 second dry burns to ensure the water is out.

True, since the coil isn't accessible nor replaceable, you can consider it somewhat disposable. However, I have 3 that I use here and there that are over 8 months.

If you really like the G6, why not get a bunch of Minitanks for it? They are quite reasonably priced. And if you upgrade one day to the Triton, the Minitanks can be used on them as well.

(remember the 10% off juice code, ECFTEN2014 )

And welcome!!

(and I love Malibu, with a little Belgian Cocoa mixed in!! In fact, my #1 favorite juice of all.)

Thank you for the welcome!

Thanks all for the information. Yes, I did mean .3 ml. I replaced the tank today and now it's working just fine! I really like the G6 because I'm rather "shy" about my vaping - probably left over from hiding my analog cigarette smoking for so long. The G6 is just - well, not so obvious! LOL I actually started with a Vision Spinner II and it was just too big for my purse, even! I sold it to my daughter's boyfriend already...he thought it was sweet! HA!

I have gone ahead and ordered more tanks - I feel like the other guy that I read that vaping has lead to a shopaholic issue! Geez - the amount of information on vaping is amazing and I just have no idea what to buy next - but I know it's going to be something!

My next challenge is that I'm flying in a few weeks and I hear that they leak. So from what I understand, is empty the tanks and refill when you arrive. Someone was saying that the bottles of juice leak? Really? I've never had other things leak on a plane. Weird. If any of you know about that, I'd be interested in hearing.

Thanks again and y'all are so awesome with all of the information and fun that you share!

If you use the small plastic bottles, squeeze out the excess air, then seal. And store them in small Zip Loc baggies, with paper towels in there as padding. Same with a glass bottle, squeeze the bulb, then tighten it. This keeps the inside pressure low.

Use the bottles the juice came in, no blank bottles. Don't forget your charger(s). (You do have 2, right?)

Baggies are your friend here. And don't even consider stealth vaping on the plane. In the terminal, use your best judgement. And the screeners have seen all this vaping stuff already.

Enjoy your trip.
